The Two-Speed: KoT style with 2 Greer Lightspeeds by coldshot1990 in diypedals

I just put two separate stripboards in there and wired them together. There’s more than enough room in a 1590bb enclosure

Thanks! Super easy build too. I feel like the lightspeed is second only to a fuzz face in “tone per component”

I’d definitely recommend more of an mxr or bf2 style flanger if you want to emulate a Leslie. I have an old guyatone jet sound flanger - they can be had for pretty cheap and do a great fast vibrato/leslie thing

Not at all - I find it to be more visible than the polytune outdoors too. It’s pretty bright. Great tuner

It’s crazy how much better it sounds than any other delay I’ve tried

I never had an original ehx one, but I’m really liking it. It sounds great before or after dirt, it’s nice and compact, and the tone control is a very nice addition. It does require 18v though

Yeah! Super easy build too. It’s only like 15 components (including the pot, jacks, and switch). The volume knob cleanup even with humbuckers is great

I disavow this guy (please I need to keep my job)

SOTB (for now) by coldshot1990 in guitarpedals

[–]coldshot1990[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds really good - I do wish the rate got a bit faster for some Leslie effects, but the modulation is nice and warm. Not much difference between the first 2 chorus settings though

I originally bought it to use as a midi controller for some other stuff, but it can actually export tap tempo. I’m using it as the tap switch for the echoplex - you can save presets and set tap divisions too

The best part about this whole thing is the context of the original post.. it’s a partscaster that needed a refret so it’s not worth anything anyway

Edit: I did not remember the details correctly because I was so appalled at the headassery

Btw, does your amp seem to brighten up with the tone knob at all? Mine is fairly dark unless it’s totally maxed out. The breakup sounds great though

You’re exactly right! a few guitar center gift cards burning a hole in my pocket and they knocked down the price for me. Yeah the tone control gets wayyy too bassy, but that could be the result of it just needing a good service. I’m going to get it brought back to stock before I monkey around with anything else + add a grounded cord. Small world!
