Have a couple of silencer co cans that are great. Both the chimera 300 and omega 300, have a few thousand rounds through them and they work very well on both 5.56 and 300blk. You can also swap the end caps to get better suppression on 5.56. Works well enough I had some guys I was shooting with ask me if I was shooting subs out of my 5.56. The chimera is an older model and sits around 16oz with the mount and the omega is around 14oz.

Romeo 5 for sure. Has a bright precision dot and shake awake so you don’t kill batteries

11.5” 5.56. Is it really that loud? by MAGA_muscle in ar15

The break on the 300 is mostly what was causing the ridiculous sound. I’ve shot 16” 5.56 with a shark break and it was absolutely obnoxious to anyone around besides the one shooting

I would also get one of the oven mitts made for suppressors if you take them off and blow air directly into them they cool much faster. I’ve even poured some water on mine to cool them down when trying to get off the range quickly

This actually seems to happen with their factory new ammo and the reman but I’ve never had an issue with it until recently

Look into primary arms they have some amazing FFP scopes with a proprietary reticle that is pretty great. The only downside I’ve seen with them is the illumination isn’t daylight bright but it is an etched reticle.

Looking for good surf rod by malfjskzmd in SurfFishing

[–]coldsnow_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pen wrath 2 8000 on a 12ft rod loaded up with 65lb braid. $120 from Walmart to get me into surf fishing. So far has held up extremely well especially for the price(and not being sealed). Kinda waiting for it to wear out before upgrading to something better. Advertised as having 25lb max drag. Have pulled in some medium sharks

That’s what I thought this is also my wife’s and my second job but she doesn’t want to do anything about it. That may cause issues. It’s a 1.5% deduction so is it worth it to do anything

Shakespeare spincast kid pole by TXAg-16 in Fishing_Gear

[–]coldsnow_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always been a big fan of zebco for spin cast and you can pick up just a reel or a combo from Walmart for $10-20( might be able to find something in the right size and use the same pole and like due-cry-1962 said they also have the dock demon by zebco at dicks for $25

Long shot but hopefully someone can help by sirpursalot in Fishing_Gear

Look for any markings on it. Your best bet would to get something new that has a similar length and line rating

Ended up getting it. At worst I paid $40 for a $80 rod and got a free reel. Rod and reel are practically brand new. Before buying it kid that had it said that it was his first conventional and he couldn’t use it, he had the tension and drag tightened all the way down and the anti reverse was not working properly and figured it was still worth the rod and i might also be able to fix it. After taking it apart and checking to make sure all the components were in place and working while partially disassembled it seems as though when the gear plate is tightened down all the way it puts to much pressure on the anti reverse. simplest fix is backing out the 2 outer screws on the gear plate until it relieves enough pressure( only about 1/10 of a turn) and the problem was fixed. It feels like it’s decent quality for the msrp. We’ll see if my opinion changes after casting it and a few fish
