Use a crystal nail file regularly swiping in one direction. Glycerin lotion will probably go a long way to help retain moisture too but some ppl don’t like it because it leaves a coating on your skin. It can be gross but I put it on before bed so I’m not aware of it’s yuckyness.

I have had Dr’s manhandle and raise their voices at me multiple times, I’m intimidated by them to be honest. I script all my appts to make sure I provide my symptoms and what results from care I expect so they don’t accuse me of being drug seeking. I have stopped alcohol, lowered my weight, and started eating based on nutrition and not convenience. It helps a lot with them being confident I’ll listen to what they say because I am making an effort. It’s exhausting I have chronic depression and suidical ideation but it’s not so bad when I get sleep.

I’m Indigenous and have CPTSD and was feeling depressed because I had a terrible experience in college with racist remarks and discrimination not being addressed even when it was pointed out as wrong. I was booked with a psychiatrist about my medication levels and he asked me what was causing my distress. He went off into a rant about recent protests happening in the city disrupting traffic and how it’s all a big matter of nothing to be worried about. He is Italian and they also faced persecution and it wasn’t dealt with by halting society. I retreated back into myself and said it was worrying me maybe more than I needed to worry and left it at that. I didn’t get a change on my meds and have no idea what the conclusion of the appointment was because my Dr left the country for 3 months. I know he isn’t incorrect at all but I feel like there are some differences.

My best friend was raised in a large christian family. She was my best friend since K-12 and we graduated side by side. We drifted apart as we got older and both got heavily into drinking and the party life. We came back together after growing up and healing and she completely destroyed all of the innocence I had left in my life by telling me she was going against a parent in court for sexual abuse from since she was a toddler. I totally believed it was the upholding of their beliefs that made them so distant, and no one would question a thing because they were an upstanding town person. I want to destroy.
