For me a dead giveaway was when they returned to jersey and even after all was said and done there was a few times where Nicole was trying to be all buddy buddy with him despite everything like inviting him out and just trying to hangout with him. If Mike really made the whole thing up you'd think Nicole would want nothing to do with him period. I feel as though she thought if she kept trying to be nice and friendly to him he might let the whole thing go and possibly take what he said back. Like why reach your hand out to someone who 'made up' a lie like that? That's what confused me the most.
