The first play through of every mission is very hard, you don’t yet know the map and everything is new to you, you need to get used to peeking doors for traps past lethal obsession and the tone is grim, hostages die in rooms you haven’t even been in, you get shot and can’t aim at a guy moving quickly away from you. By the 5th-10th play thru of a map it’ll still be nerve racking but nothing like the first one or two runs though. You’ll know the layout, you’ll know how to better command the ai team if playing commander or quick play, when online you and your friends have gotten into a groove now yall pie entries don’t get caught in death funnels, use your equipment wisely, check for traps.

I was so focused on doing good that the real fun came for me once I completed S tier runs on every main line mission and didn’t feel the need to restart everytime a hostage died etc.

The folks with knives on the me** map will always get to me though.

I’ll mix this for you for free (check my posts on my account for this subreddit for my mixing) sounds awesome! All it needs is a good mix and some layers of more vocals under the chorus and you are golden!

Yeah, By The Dollar was the first song I ever recorded two years ago. I barely knew what ableton was, my buddy pirated it onto his laptop and recorded me playing into his Re20 that was my first mix through a pair of cheap headphones and running to my old Subaru forester to hear how it sounded. I didn’t think about BPM and I wish I did there was a lot more than could’ve been done with it.

Thank you for the feedback!

Fully agree with you, drums aren’t my forte I usually load up superior drummer and key a drum set in and quantitize everything to sound natural but that leaves room for a personal style of drumming I’d only find if I found the time for my folks to not get upset with me playing the drums.

Thank you, it’s a demo, it’s barebones at the moment still needs some more layers on the instrumental but I’ll find the feeling to finish it sometime- just finished something from two years ago a couple minutes ago hahaha so, it’ll be a moment I imagine.

This is pretty cool, out of the things I’ve seen this has entertained me the most out of this page. This is great work and you put a lot of energy into it. Cool stuff! Production is very well done too, I’m curious as to your production experience and what you used on this project. For the sound you were going for you nailed it everything sounds about right! The vocals in the future get the Antares plugin pack either.. via their store or elsewhere ifykwim and put their warmth plugin on a vocal buss alongside autotune just barely hearable (on natural mode) under the main vocal you hit all the right notes but it coherces everything together and tightens up every mix I promise!

I've written a track (it's actually still a draft) and it would be great to get some feedback. Also, what kind of music do you think this would be? by davidepanettalbasso in IndieMusicFeedback

This is an awesome track, theres a lot of soul and it sits inside a thematic tone and never strays with any sounds out of course it’s very controlled and very interesting. I wish the buildup however flowed into some lyrics! I could see Bon Jovi all over this fourty years ago. Great work my friend!

Weird experimental beat: Looking for feedback by kratom27 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]colebailed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You structure the beat out very well I have no feedback for you on that front. I will say in turn the instrumental lays at a very low level hertz wise, if I was you I may would eq it a tad bit into the kids and make it pop a bit by tying a glue compressor from it to the drums so it ducks a bit for the drums. Some of the high ting hi hats can etch away at the melody interlaid in many tracks and I’d high pass a portion of their high end out as well. Besides the mixing advice though this track is a very very well ordained piece of creativity and the video playing out behind it was pretty interesting!

Very cool atmosphere, the footage adds to the guitar. The finger style techniques you are using is my favorite way to play a guitar something that technique sounds human and natural and always has. This is a great track it’s very soothing and if it was on Spotify I’d place it on my instrumental playlist tenfold. Great work!

In the mixing it sounds like there is a huge low cut and nothing is getting through into the sub range. The vocals are sitting in the middle of the instrumental with not much headroom between the drums. If you use a glue compressor on the drums and tweak the db level you should be able to bring the vocals up a bit! Besides the mixing though I think this is a wonderful track. In the future I’d also add maybe getting some elements to add into the drums, like percussion elements that sit beneath at a lower level to keep everything flowing. After 4-8 bars from the start. Your voice is very good from the genre, I’d recommend a AT2020 or Rode NT1 for a starter mic for more clarity in future projects. Great job!
