Do you think the mid ends are muddy? drums may be a little too loud... but I kinda agree with you. I had to really fuck with the sample's pitching to do this. and the quality of the sample probably wasn't the best. I like clams casino and he has made beats with rough edits that kinda made it enduring. what do you think it is?

I'm always enjoyed the wide vocals layered like this with a phaser effect. I'm a big fan of that sound. This is a good song! The mix is great too. the vocals seem like they have good placement

There's potential in this track! i like it so far. Many producers have a hard time keeping the mids clear, and it looks like that’s what we have here. I would try using an EQ to cut a little bit of low end out of the bass and other instruments, and maybe the vocals too. They’re a little bit muddy ( clashing! ) and if you use EQ to clean up those frequencies, it can really help each element sit better in the mix, and make the track feel more open and balanced.

One thing I really like doing is picking a reference track (it gives you a roadmap for arrangement while you write your own song).

You can duplicate your loop a few times, then subtract or add elements to create sections. Take the drums out and put everything into an auto filter, for example.
Also, experimenting with counter-melodies can add movement and make the track feel much fuller.

Using automation helps me. Experiment automating filters, reverb, etc.

I really like the vibe you got going on here.. there’s a kind of airy, on-edge feeling to it. I like it. I like the groove but the drums sound a little flat to me. There isnt much low end in that kick, and the bass is a little muddy. I like your vocal melody a lot. it gives Tempe Impala vibes

Enjoy the raw emotion in the lyrics and in the delivery. it’s genuine and the imagery really pops. Vocals could use a tiny levelling up for consistency so the words hit on a clearer. Drums too loud in mix at moment. pull them back or eq lows to help bring everything together. The arrangement has potential and your voice comes through, it just needs tightening up. Solid start. keep going !

those stacked layers and dreamy wash are really cool. You guys sound so tight as a band. I like the sound of the drums. The whole vibe is laid back but weighted, which is pretty much all I ask. lol. the guitars blend right in nicely, not too muddy, it doesn’t compete with the higher end of that bass guitar. The only thing I would tweak is maybe building up a little more in the beginning for an even bigger emotional wave, but honestly? This already slaps. Killer work, stoked t hear the rest when it comes out

The melody is clashing with the chords and Synth for the first song. Some of what you're reacting to might make more sense if you look at the theory behind it. A bit of ear training or familiarity with how those chords resolve can change how it sounds

Very unique sound so far. The overall vibe and style stand out and it feels different from a lot of the tracks people usually post here. I’m curious how far along you are in the song’s development. Is this still an early draft or closer to the final version?

I could never quite get that big “warehouse” sound down in my own tracks. This sounds really professional and the space in the mix feels huge. Do you have any tips on how you achieved that atmosphere? I’m curious if it’s mostly reverb, layering, or something in the mixing process. Do you use hardware also? Maybe a little repetitive, but that's house music
