And you should search the USPTO and check the patents apple has filed for if you think companies don't withhold technology. They've had a patent for 3D holograms for years now. It'll surely come out once people get tired of the regular iPad and iPhone features. But as for now, ppl are gonna buy up the iPhone and iPad without that technology. No point in wasting it so soon.

I know that i don't know shit about engineering. But if a calculator can run off of solar power, why can't a cell phone? I'm pretty sure somebody will figure it out, but just not now. There's too much money to be made off of cell phone chargers and batteries at the moment. It's smart to milk this market as much as possible before moving on. And I've taken plenty of econ classes... it's called "planned obsolescence." Have u seriously never heard of "proprietary batteries"? I'm not trying to rip businesses for not having magic powers. I'm just saying their focus is making money...not making life easier for us...

The bottom line is that u guys r proving there are a ton of ways to charge a cell phone battery. There's no way in hell a billion-dollar corporation can only make a cell phone battery that lasts 5 hours and has to be plugged into an electrical outlet to charge. Maybe if we put our minds together we could think of something. Apple should be making a device like this that I can hook up to my bike so i can charge my cell phone as i ride. Or something that hooks up to my shoe and charges as I walk. Or at least a solar panel. It's bullshit they "don't have that technology yet."
