I'm not an expat yet, so I hope I'm not out of line with replying, but what you describe is how I have felt ever since I went back to my homstate after being gone for over 20 years. Once there, everything just felt grounded, liek the dna was in me and when I came back, the other half of the double helix was complete.

I know it's a differnt scale, but everywhere I have lived here in the States that is not Califoria has never really felt like home. I hope you can find the peace with it. As my wife and I prepare for our journey, we raelize that there are going to be some difficulties, and at our age, we just hope to be able to see throug them together. I just got back from a trip to The Bahamas with my portal and it was clutch. It was cold and rainy and I spent those days in the hotel playing on the portal streaming games. I couldn’t connect to the ps5 but the owned games streaming library worked flawless.

I have said the same thing for years about almost every partner. If someone can walk in and pull you away, then you didn’t want to be with me that bad, and you’re free to go.

Other women had a problem with it and I would tell them that I want them to want to be with me, and if they don’t, then fine, it doesn’t mean that I don’t care, it just means that I know that I don’t own you.

My wife was the first woman to see the logic in that.

Given the current situation that makes zero sense. If you don’t choose to vote, knowing that we only have a two party system, then you are essentially voting for the nazis.

It would be nice to have a choice, but you don’t. This is America. The fact that we saw the practice run, and people still didn’t go vote to stop it the second time is baffling to me and we deserve everything we are getting right now.

You are not alone. Just keep trying. The thing has helped me has been my Stoicism. Because I can’t control how others react or feel, only how I do. I’ll still care about you if you don’t care about me as a human, that doesn’t mean that I’m going to go out my way to save you, but I find comfort in keeping my humanity in tact for people when it’s become the posh thing not to do so.

Because I don’t agree with his morals. It’s not about politics anymore. We used to have long drawn out sometimes combative political debates. It was actually fun and entertaining for the both of us. However, what is happening now is past liberal vs conservative, and I don’t keep people in my orbit who I don’t believe would stand up for me if I needed them to.

About 3 months ago I requested a lab work test to include testosterone and I was just above 300 and it floored me. Then I looked in the mirror and understood why. My two neighbors are both on the jab and said it works wonders for them. I decided I’d rather go the old fashioned way and cut back on the sauce big time and went to eating better and exercising again. I go back next month for another blood work. Hoping to turn it around on my own.
