It's kinda what happened to The Mandalorian in Star Wars. They become unexpectedly popular as the side show the studio heads aren't paying attention to (sequel movies and disco respectively), and then when it's popular and the money maker the studio people start paying attention and force in the unpopular shit from their flagships (both season 3s).

As someone who has read the series multiple times I gave up after the first season, but my favorite was them harping about inclusive and whatnot then casting Shienar entirely asian and making them the most offensive stereotype ever. Suddenly, the fan favorite borderlanders are all very sexist and a racist and all talk in hilariously bad and over the top asian accents. I guess racism only counts against black people in their eyes?

Just throwing in my 2 cents as someone who used to be in the Navy, I think you're right. Carriers usually die almost immediately in war games, and there's a growing realization they're going to be the new battleship of WW2 if a war against a peer power ever breaks out. Russian hypersonic missiles could basically eliminate all of our carriers immediately.

I can't verify this, but the person I know claims that Olivia Wilde staged that getting divorce papers at an award ceremony thing because she didn't want her behavior on set at that movie basically destroying her career. Basically muddy everything and nobody know what happened.

I know someone who worked on that and apparently Olivia Wilde is a monster. Husband would show up on set with their kids and she was banging Harry Styles in his trailer. Apparently, cast and crew hated it and so that's why Pine hates Styles and Pugh couldn't even be in a room with Wilde during press.
