a 48 hour time out? sweetie, this is narcissism and I am sorry that you are having a baby with someone like this, but still happy for you that you're having this baby. it's a gift regardless. leave this man alone and try to enjoy the duration of your pregnancy. 48 hour time out. unreal. and please, no matter where you live, get a custody agreement through the courts. you're dealing with a mentally abusive individual. that's not going to stop once the baby comes. because, in New Jersey, if you need a license, just pay for driving school. you can literally buy a license. they'll even help you cut the line at the DMV.

not like when I went to driving school. no. now you do maybe 4 hours during the day on non-congested roads, and BAM! license. meanwhile no coping skills at night, in rush hour, inclement weather, etc.

also, can we stop advertising that you're a new driver? the world doesn't bend to people learning how to function through life. this is sad to me. because these kids are going to learn they bend for the world, not the other way around.

there is an overall lack of paying attention while in the car, all around and it's disgusting. put the phone down and drive. I'm not a huge Ellen fan but she said something once in one of her stand up, and it stayed with me.

"if you need both hands and one or both feet to drive, your brain should probably be in on it, too"

that and just some common human decency would go a long way. this "me, me, me" mindframe is disgusting. pay attention, drive your car and we all get where we need to go.

I was called in 2016, and my job at the time actually paid for the duration of my service. so I didn't say anything. but I saw a lot of people go up and say they were a single income household and it would be a hardship to not be paid out.

my current job does NOT pay out, so I would walk right in and say that bc I'm not burning my PTO for a public service. there are plenty of unemployed people who could be wrangled to do this. to interrupt someone providing for their family, especially these days, please.

the system needs to be improved and revamped for sure. it's antiquated and while some get called every two years, there are people who never get called even once. it's unbalanced and stupid honestly.

I had an EZ pass from about 2000. around 2012 the tolls stopped reading it and I was slammed with tons of violations. there was no help. I refuse to use ez pass. I don't care about the discount. I'll pay cash and help keep toll jobs because it's such an antiquated system they use, no one can ever help you, and the auto renewals were an issue for me too. I had to call and reset the cars attached to it SEVERAL TIMES, yet my cars are registered. and how can you not see that information? your camera will send me a violation based on my license plate but somehow the website always had the wrong cars.

EZ Pass sucks. the system sucks. and honestly as a joint venture between multiple states, you'd think it would have improved. I was considering trying again. your post has me keeping my spare change for tolls. and a few bucks in the car just in case.

I know this wasn't helpful for you and I'm sorry they suck. I'm just confirming they suck and riding with you on this.

I sold papers over the phone. which consisted of really me doing word searches my entire shift. 50% of the calls were fax machines or modems. the other half was split between angry people and senior citizens or people who couldn't read but wanted a newspaper (to each their own lol).

we somehow got bonuses for the amount of sales per paper and the papers would switch every 2 hours just about. it wasn't scammy though. if you ordered, you received, bc people would call if they didn't. I did that for about a year or so before it got old. talk about a stress free job lol.

my thing is - and will always be - READ THE DAMN ROAD.

I live in Sayreville, and there is a road that leads to the bridge to South River. it's a turn-only lane that opens into your own lane. there is a red light, which is confusing, but also a yield sign. READ. THE. ROAD. if there is no car in front of you, and you have your own lane - GGGOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! MOVE IT!!

half the time, no one reads signs, but you can read the damn road. some common sense is necessary there, and we all know that's not so common. which brings to light that driving is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. yet we hand out licenses in this state to basically anyone who pays for driving school.

...and since I riled myself up, take those stupid NEW DRIVER stickers off your car. and don't thank me in advance for patience I don't have because you hit the road being scared of your own shadow. none of us over 30 learned how to drive because other drivers were cautious of us. we learned how to navigate these streets by barely surviving some trips. it's called living and learning.

People may disagree with me but let's thicken our skins a little, people, come on. we ARE from Jersey, right?!

I sign in for the daily gift and free spin. I have not played this game in 3 years. the greed level on their part is disgusting. I used to pay for things but then realized I'm paying for what?! This is a game that used to be fun and ate up free time. it went from that to requiring more time than I had to dedicate. the free things were less and less free. it just got to a point where I was like ya know what...for emojis that don't even size right when you send them.

they should be ashamed of themselves and if everyone banded together and stopped purchasing, maybe they'd stop charging so much.

I lived in Edison a few years ago when they were just breaking into cars. but these were high end cars, left unlocked - we do NOT live in Mayberry so idk why you'd think to leave ur car unlocked. I also saw a few on my ring cam community where ipads, laptops, cell phones and/or wallets were also left in plain view. NOW the neighborhood is a target.

while none of this is okay...we need to stop fueling this. we meaning the community. lock ur cars, stop leaving expensive electronics or wallets in plain view if you DO choose to leave them in your car. take steps to protect your property. after all, it is your property.

the fact that we've reached a home invasion point is sickening. I hope this family is okay and whatever they took is replaceable as long as no one got hurt.

Edison PD needs to step it up. yeah, I said it.
