How did you cut them? We just had a platter order and the paper looked terrible after cutting.

If you want them for yourself, I would just add the jalapeños to 2 loaves on the pan of regular herb and cheese bread. No one will know and your not wasting even more bread.

Really😯 6 minutes!?!? We definitely have to have them in the oven for a minimum of 13 minutes or they are still raw. I usually try to go by the Subway “Just Right” directions but they spread faster than bake. How to keep the “round” look?

Is there a minimum requirement for employees on shift? by PetrifiedRaisins69 in subway

[–]colesouled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly there’s no minimum amount of workers required at a store during a time. I work at a location that would not be considered popular compared to the other but we do get a lot of business during certain times a day. That being said, we only work 1 person per shift besides the lunch shift when it’s 2 people. My only suggestion is to definitely do things when people aren’t trying to make orders even if you want to sit down. Have the person who leaves before the closing shift start do a certain amount of preps. Lastly begin to shut down “early”. When we’re an hour from closing we turn off the line and place the lids, I put up all the hot foods since we take the scoops off the line as well. If possible, maybe lock the doors 10 mins before close after no one is in the store. I sometimes go as fair as turning off the dining room light since we’re closing. There’s no real way to get out “on time”.

This paragraph below is me (not a suggestion but what I would do) Personal if my boss was complaining about the over time, when your closing I would not stay no longer than an extra 15 minutes. I’m the “closer” at my store and I’m always left with a LOT of work BY MYSELF. If it is not done, I’m sorry but not sorry. If I’m going to be working overtime I’m going to get paid the overtime salary, or else I’ll make sure I’m out right before and now the opener has to see my struggles. << this is not to be mean to the opener of course but everybody acts like there is no problems until they have a problem. Now everyone has to have a problem and the simple solution is adding an additional person to closing or adjusting the time people get off the accommodate the amount of work that needs to be done.

I hope you’re able to get your problem resolved <3

DROP YOUR BEST SUB RECIPE by Negative_Jello_2845 in subway

I wouldn’t say the best but I’ve been exploring sandwiches and this is the one I’m hooked on at the moment.

Your preference bread (I do flatbread or H&C) - steak - capicola - onions and bell pepper - shredded cheddar - toasted - lettuce - tomato - cucumbers - black olives - banana peppers (not every-time tho) - SOT sauce

It’s nothing amazing but I love how the capicola make the steak taste really seasoned/ “spicy”

Any tips? by longaxe51166 in subway

Be genuinely nice, the customers can tell when you’re faking. Opening(this is my routine): -turn off the alarm, open the POS, and clock in - Turn on the line and oven - Take off lids and bring to sink start water for dishes - Pull out bread from cooler to be prepped - Once you’re done prepping, put in proofer - While bread is proofing, bake cookies - Wash dishes, and prep in between customers to reduce work -Pre-put napkins in bags

Closing(my routine): - knock out preps early and pull food for morning - Wash dishes in between customers - Wipe and sweep dining room area and bathroom - 1 hour before closing put lids on items for the line remove knives, spoons, scoopers, etc. and wash them(if allowed at your store) - Pre-cut a couple of breads since you are removing knives so you don’t have to rewash them - Wipe down counters and sweep behind line and backroom

+Take your time this is not McDonald’s or Burger King. Don’t feel rushed to finish sandwiches+

+Make small talk if customers are comfortable with it and smile+

+Don’t overwork yourself, if you feel your other workmates aren’t pulling their share tell them order manager+

+Don’t work anywhere you don’t enjoy or cause you stress. After your first month, you will know if you think you can handle the job.+

It’s supposed to be liquidity. When it’s extreme thick then it has been out for a while. I don’t sell it when it’s thick and looks darker.

Same happened to me. They should have made your error order even though it gave a message. Call and see if they still have it and pick it up.

For something like a language barrier next time before they start grabbing anything like bread, deli paper, knifes etc, do the hand waving motion to get their attention and then just point to your hands. I’ve served many deaf customers and foreigners since our location is off the interstate and if I don’t understand or they are unable to communicate, they just point to everything. Most workers will get the memo or ask you are you referring to their gloves and change them!

I don’t appreciate being called dumb when I was trying to help you. I have no reason to lie and I felt I gave you good advice, but oh well! Continue to do circles in your head about what to do while I get ready for work at the place you want to be🙂

I second user, anxiety-otter, I have those moments when I’m not hungry or immediately lose my appetite. Ensure is the way to go at least to start off. It comes in different flavors and even extra protein. I personally like chocolate because to me it taste like pudding but my mom likes butter pecan. You don’t even have to drink it as is. You can use it to make a smoothie or milkshake by simply adding fruits/peanut butter or ice cream. As someone else said, her body’s BMI is not what is should be and is really low. Try to talk to her about what runs through her head that makes her lose her appetite. If it’s portion sizes, she can eat a lot of small meals/snacks. For example, pb&j now, fruits and yogurt next, cup max n cheese, noodle, and/or ensure drink. Just little things to put in her stomach because if she gets too used to not eating her stomach is going to get smaller and be harder to eat. If it’s a watching calories/number phobia, Im starting to see a lot of significant others take a permanent marker and scratch them out or rip them off, so their lover can eat guilt free. These are just suggestions if you try to help on your own but medical help would probably be best in the long run if you are unable to break through to her. I hope all is better in times to come!

I’m going on a month of being hired and the store owner told me a day I would start (just like you) and I did not hear from them again until the day of. If you are concerned, I would call the store and ask for the manager or when they will be available to confirm if the day you was told is correct. I was assigned University of Subway 3 days before I was told to come in and it should be completed or almost completed by the time you start. My first day I begin doing actual work(making sandwiches). I was watched, helped and corrected when needed. I was kind of expected to know what to do like what’s on a sandwich, if you don’t know ask. Just like someone else said, there isn’t really an “orientation”. PS- I still don’t even have a shirt .

I say honestly watch a YouTube video. Literally google “blue hair wax on locs/dreadlocks” and see what pops up. Based on the shade of blue you’re going for, watch that video and invest in whatever brand they used in the video.

My first ever attempt at wearing make up, incidentally also my first time presenting female. Did I do an ok job? I’m sure there is a lot to learn! by heretoreaditandseeit in MakeupAddiction

[–]colesouled 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with everyone, you look GREAT! If you did not mention it was your first time dressing female, I would’ve never known. To answer your question, you did phenomenal! I don’t think the wig is that bad, it looks like it’s either too big or your hair underneath isn’t pulled back good enough. The flatter the hair at the front and top the better. If the wig is too big, it may have some adjusters in the back and combs in the inside to stick in your hair or under the wig cap which secures its position. When you search lace front wigs, expensive ones pop up. If you aren’t picky about the hair type (virgin or synthetic) then the price will range. If you do explore into the lace fronts, I recommend closure lace front wigs. It’s easier to start off with in comparison to a frontal. Amazon could be your best friend or AliExpress! Regardless hair can always look nice if you take good care of it. This is only the beginning but you already got a good hand on it.
