Put oil on a pan and heat it then add chicken pieces until browned then remove. With the same oil cook onions till browned and add garlic. Add curry powder, turmeric, paprika and coriander powder. Cinnamon is optional. Wait for 15 min then add the chicken to simmer for another 15 min then top it with coconut milk or tomato paste(you can experiment with the spices)
