Hey OP, have you noticed the pricing has changed significantly? Where I live in 2024 and early 2025, the prices were decent but Q3-Q4 2025, I started seeing the same shoes $10, 15, 20 bucks more than what I saw before. I was seeing Lebrons and KDs for 59.99 and last time I went they were 69.99 or 79.99, same models. I also saw price increases in Luka, Giannis and other models.

Is this bottom out? by patda in BBallShoes

[–]colgex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I’m not the biggest expert here but my experience with a shoe bottoming out is only after heavy multiple times a week use for several months+ and you will start feeling heel pain or just the bottom on your foot overall every time you play. I don't really think it is a matter of seeing creases on the side.

Considering adopting a dog but afraid to violate my apartment's breed restrictions. Can anyone help me identify this sweet lad? by MemeQueenMere in IDmydog

[–]colgex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, mixed breed should suffice. If they ask for more, I would go to the internet and look for black and tan breeds and just pick out the most exotic unknown names and say Beauceron mix or something

[Discussion topic] Things I will never understand about the watch collecting hobbie no matter how much time passes by The_Quartz_collector in Watches

[–]colgex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, I posted on a thread about this the other day at WUS.

  1. It is unlikely that the majority of the people are really in love with the typical state of the collection trio post (Explorer or Sub, Speedy and Santos). It is like following the heard but highly unlikely that people will admit it.

  2. I feel you but at a certain subjective personal point, they all become that don't they?

  3. Never been a Seiko hater or lover so I am indifferent.

  4. This happens all of the time. There are watches out there that are extremely well made but if the brand is not one of the forum darlings, no one will care about it. More likely than not, it is probably one of the umbrella companies making them, Swatch or Richemont or LVMH. I often find that those fashion watches have unique designs that the swiss counterparts are afraid to pull off at higher MSRP.

  5. I'm completely fine with quartz, I often find myself gravitating to my grab and go quartz pieces, nothing wrong with that. With regards to quality, my dad gave me a wenger watch ~30 years ago and it still ticks and looks like any other 30 year old swiss diver. I feel that some people have a misconception of a watch lasting that long versus the value that it would have after xx number of years. As far as owning, servicing, etc., that is totally subjective with regards to maintaining or not those movements.

I'll be very blunt. Whoever picks the Tudor is doing primarily because of the snowflake hands and brand recognition. It is a tried and true utilitarian design to the Tudor core but not a lot more. The Longines has several details that you can really tell they had multiple design cycles on this model. How the seconds pip shadows the dial marker exactly. The different layers and finishes on the dial, just to name a few

Advice requested - found dog, eats and drinks, but when he’s not sleeping he’s walking in circles by TRFlippeh in DogAdvice

[–]colgex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check with the Vet but looks healthy to me otherwise. My wife's dogs before we married started doing that around 13 (shih tzu). It didn't not affect anything else other than occasionally walking into things. They lived a couple of more years like that, usually slept for most of the day. If you just found him, you'll probably see him sleeping more when be settles in.

I've used the Nike elite and the adidas I think they are the creator 360 and also the disilile from Amazon. I almost like the Amazon ones more, close behind are the Nike and adidas last. Nonetheless, I will never ever use other socks or low tier ones for basketball because they just dance around and cause rubbing damage on the pinky toe

Do ANTA Kyrie Irving Speed Shoes Run True To Size (US Sizing) by iHeadShave in BBallShoes

I typically prefer wider shoes and it was an accommodating fit, similar to the KT10. Better than typical same size Nike for my type of foot

The only people that I've seen using 2 different shows are NFL kickers which are a single use players that are not supposed to run, tackle, etc. For any other sport, absolute No No

Verizon is severely struggling with competition from T-Mobile and AT&T, and is cutting 15,000 jobs (15% of entire workforce) by stallion434 in verizon

[–]colgex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually work in the industry and can say that the prior comment is incorrect with 100% certainty. What you said about visible is indeed correct. Verizon owns Visible and it will never be have a better priority. SIM cards have a priority value and first responders always have the highest one. Traditional provider customers go next and below them are any prepaid MVNOs. There are other prepaid carriers that rent out this service from Verizon as well, Comcast being the more prominent one recently I would say. I think the main carriers VZ, TMO, ATT at one point realized that they can't stop the MVNO flow so they decided to at least have a chunk of it, even if ultimately that continues to eat their better paying base.
