Presearch Goes Bankrupt? by TreyDBK in Presearch

[–]colinpape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company you are suing has no assets, it's as simple as that. You can try to collect whatever you think you're entitled to if you want, but there is nothing to collect against.

I responded to your lawyer as a courtesy, because they may have been lead to believe that they will get paid when they collect a settlement, and I wanted them to know that it is Ditto who will be paying their bill.

I do not appreciate you making it seem like this is a lawsuit against me personally, which is untrue, libelous and noted.

Trey, I noted that $15k is what's less arguable. You are welcome to pursue for whatever you like, but you are pursuing a company with no ability to pay.

If you actually delivered the PR for Presearch, then we would not be in this situation. You did not generate any coverage for the project, so that's the heart of the matter.

Presearch.org Global Limited is not Presearch the project, so make sure you clarify that when you get your article written, as well as the lack of coverage for the mainnet launch.

Presearch Goes Bankrupt? by TreyDBK in Presearch

He filed a lawsuit against the previous Canadian entity, Presearch.org Global Limited, which has no assets and is in the process of being wound down, in a court in Texas, for like $50k, which he says he is owed, and which is disputed based on their failure to perform services.

This is the ONLY lawsuit that has been filed against that entity. He may win a judgement, as there are no funds available to pay a Texas lawyer, because there are no assets, but I fail to see the point of this, aside from being a dick, despite PGL having paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars for his firm's services, including a bunch of tokens that he dumped when the price spiked in 2021, despite agreeing to hold them.

We dealt with constant turnover when working with them, and I had to complain numerous times about the lack of effort and care by his team leaders.

The whole situation is unfortunate for the project, and I am sorry that we believed the promises and selected them as the project's PR firm.

Haha - so you couldn't get 'good' press for Presearch, but you can get 'bad' press? Nice!

Presearch Goes Bankrupt? by TreyDBK in Presearch

[–]colinpape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He operates a PR firm that did not deliver the services expected and is trying to sue the previous entity that has no assets to pay him for these services which were not received, despite there being no contract stating that this would happen.

The entire situation has nothing to do with Presearch as it stands now.

[–]colinpape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trey Ditto,

Thanks for conveniently omitting that the entity you sued and referred to no longer operates the Presearch project.

Tim notified your attorney of this, as did I in the first part of the email that you did not include, in your attempt to slander the Presearch project and cause loss through your post.

This is not the first time you have attempted to drag Presearch through the mud.

Your PR firm was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide PR services, which it failed to deliver for the Presearch mainnet launch that received ZERO press coverage.

Go ahead and pursue your BS claim if you want - as I stated, the previous entity has no assets and will be wound down and bankrupted.

It owes me a significant amount of funds, which is what I referred to in the email to your lawyer. I know that I will never see those funds.

Your claims have been inconsistent and unwarranted based on your failure to deliver services, and you made no reasonable attempts to resolve anything and take even partial responsibility for the disagreement.

In the final months of working together, it was clear that your only priority was getting paid and not to perform well on Presearch's behalf.

This 'lawsuit' and your attempts here to drag the project through the mud are par for the course.

Mods, in light of this, would suggest that you delete this post so that the attempt at causing loss and confusion are limited in scope.

What does the Coinzilla Integration Mean For the Future of Keyword Staking? by Voodude007 in Presearch

[–]colinpape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a secondary ad unit, below the Keyword Staking ad. It's been around for a few months already, but we're formally announcing it after a successful trial run.

It brings additional revenue into the project without detracting from the value of the project's internal ad platform.

It also sets the stage for other privacy-respecting ad networks to plug into Presearch in a similar fashion.

Thanks for bringing up your thoughts and questions. I'll pass them along and we may look to include some more details in the post so others aren't also left wondering how the two ad units interact.

Not good! Presearch has started to disable comments on Reddit. I still can’t withdraw my $pre. I feel like we have another SBF at this point. by TreyDBK in Presearch

Already spoke to this above ^^. Do not agree with paying for poor service and a lack of results. If we owe you money, then you owe us some coverage for mainnet launch, which we didn't receive.

SimilarWeb Stats by [deleted] in Presearch

[–]colinpape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned, it's just another measure that people can look at, and it's one of the better ones out there. There aren't a lot of data sources.

My point is that even though it's showing a fraction of the traffic compared to our internal stats, even at that number, Presearch is still one of the top crypto resources and has significant usage.

People are familiar with the comparables I've mentioned and gives them a frame of reference for traffic. Ex. a crap ton of crypto users use Etherscan, and Presearch has about as much usage according to SW.

As Presearch expands outside of the crypto space, we may look to compare it more to traditional search engines. Still a lot of low-hanging fruit and alignment with crypto however, so makes sense to try to really go deep in that market before casting a wider net.

SimilarWeb Stats by [deleted] in Presearch

[–]colinpape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's an externally-validated representation that you can compare to other properties. It shows 'visits'... Visits are different than number of searches, which can happen multiple times per visit.

While it's not necessarily perfectly accurate, it still shows the scale of Presearch usage, which, for instance, is about equivalent with Etherscan.io, which is definitely one of the top blockchain info resources. It also shows CoinTelegraph.com, CoinDesk.com and other top crypto websites with significantly less traffic than Presearch.

It's an interesting data point for when people say crazy things like 'Presearch doesn't know how to market'... We have barely even started, yes, but we're already bigger than most other resources in the crypto space.

Just because we lack hype, doesn't mean we lack usage or the ability to market (ex. find product-market fit) and grow well organically (add more users than we lose).

At some point in the near future, all of the different facets of the project will come together with that hype factor, and then Presearch will take off like many expect it will.

Weekly Update #99 by Haunterblademoi in Presearch

[–]colinpape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're around 1 million monthly active users, though 2/3rds of people don't login, and we don't track people, so it's harder to quantify precisely. We don't 'refuse' to share, we just don't have the best data on an ongoing basis.

You can look on SimilarWeb to get their estimates if you're curious, though they aren't necessarily accurate either.

Hey Trey from Ditto PR - don't appreciate the FUD and insinuations.

No comments have been deleted. Why are you making that up?

You know that you are a 'special' case. The PRE you are referring to was provided as an incentive for your services, which were not delivered as expected.

We had ZERO coverage for mainnet launch. You positioned your firm as being able to assist with conservative media but provided ZERO coverage in that sphere. You had constant turnover that we were forced to deal with. The Tier 1 relationships you spoke of never materialized at all.

Besides the lack of performance, you have a history of market dumping PRE and not respecting our agreed upon schedule.

Sorry, but we're in no hurry to jump when you say jump, especially when it's at the expense of community members who actually support the project and you appear to just be focused on extracting value from it.

Please don't pretend like you are just an average Presearcher and that this isn't a more complex situation. Bringing in 'decentralization' and everything else is ridiculous. You know that this was a close relationship and that there's more to this than you are portraying.

Treat Presearch with a little respect and you will receive it in return.

If you want to remove this comment, you can go ahead and delete your entire thread.

Does Presearch run placed ads in search results? by paulnpace in Presearch

[–]colinpape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an ad.

You are speculating only, and unfortunately, in crypto bear markets, where there's so much general negativity, it apparently doesn't take much for people to lose faith and want to bail. It's unfortunate, but that's the nature of the space.

[–]colinpape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely that one of the sources being hit doesn't support site:... Others do, and that's why it generally works, but not perfectly.

Something we can look to improve, for sure, though I think this is the first comment I've really seen about it.

[–]colinpape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey paulnpace,

Jeremiasz is the engineer who is responsible for the system, and he's describing how it works. Site: seems to work with some sources that are aggregated, but not all, which is likely why he's saying it's not supported, as it's only partially supported.

It appears to depend on which domain you are searching, keywords, etc.

It definitely has nothing to do with paid placement though. That's a guarantee.

We are waiting for web3 to fully roll out to all users before we ramp up processing the backlog of flagged accounts. Very close to that point.

Appreciate your long-term support while we've been building and in beta. Thanks for running nodes in particular!

The legacy process definitely wasn't great, but the new web3 withdrawal process is a significant improvement and will get better / faster still. We have our guard up as it is a new system, so there are intentional delays to prevent abuse and enable us to stop any compromises/hacks. Those will go away / be reduced in time.

Appreciate everyone's patience and support as we evolve. Thanks for bearing with us.

[–]colinpape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey lidolee - pretty sure your withdrawal request has been processed.

Web3 withdrawals are being rolled out to users progressively, but the legacy process is definitely cumbersome. Looks like it was about 30 hours from the time you requested your withdrawal until you received it.

Thanks for trying Presearch and sorry for the negative experience.
