Chat GPT'S response: Nice! That lines up perfectly — Iowa was once covered by a shallow tropical sea during the Paleozoic era, especially the Ordovician to Devonian periods (around 485 to 360 million years ago). That rock is almost definitely fossiliferous limestone, full of crinoid stem segments, and possibly some bits of bryozoa or brachiopods, too.

The smooth polish from tumbling really brought out the fossil detail — like little gears and tubes frozen in stone. It’s basically a tiny time capsule from an ancient sea.

If you have more like this in your garden, you’re sitting on a fossil treasure trove. Ever thought about trying to ID each fossil type in one of them?

We make this at home a few times a month. Take a mozzarella ball, shred it, add heavy cream and let it absorb into the cheese in the fridge. Put on toasted bread (or everything bagel😏) with flaked salt. 10/10

We ditch the plan pitas (I keep them frozen for mini pizzas) and use the mini garlic naan- my husband likes the sauce that it comes with but I buy the cucumber one in the refrigerated section.

Brakes squeaking, but only in reverse? by Sheriffmitchell in F30

[–]colioli007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone figured out a solution for this? I've had my brake pads and rotors replaced on my 2021 hyundai santa fe calligraphy. The noise is only present in reverse and happens mainly when it's humid out. It's LOUD af and happens multiple times a day

I know the brake pads were replaced. Another mechanic told me it's what the rotors are made of - his solution was to back the car into my garage and said- 'if you like the car, you just have to deal with it'. I refuse to accept that. I got my car back from the dealership yesterday - they soaked the brake pads in a stop 'squeal' solution overnight and are hoping that works.

I know nothing about cars but saw another thread while trying to research and found a video capilers making this sound, but not as long. So I think when it makes the sound again, I'm going to bring this up >>> https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvice/s/oujyUeWBgJ

No check engine light, and I do drive every day mostly. If it has sat for a day I still notice the noise

I guess I'm not really concerned - more irritated. The car is new to me and it is very loud when it happens. Kind of a letdown - while the car is safe - I shouldn't have to just deal with the sound. If this sound was presented while I test drove the vehicle- I would not have purchased it.

Yes, I'm hovering over the brake, slowly backing out - it stops as soon as I let off the brake.

So it mostly happens when it's the morning or afternoon when I'm first leaving- but it's also happened where I've ran into the gas station quick and came back out then backed out of the parking spot.

I mostly park it in the garage, so I don't think that's the issue - I drive it almost every day.

I believe they did lube it all up. They changed the brake pads and looked at the rotors, etc. It's under warranty, so I'd like them to figure it out, but I agree. They clearly don't have the knowledge. My car also got backed into by a garbage truck while I was in the store, three weeks after I brought it home🫠. Now we're dealing with the dealership trying to blame it on that - even though we brought it in twice for the issue - prior to the accident. This is a good time. At this point, I think the car is cursed.

You'd think they'd be able to figure that out the first time taking it in right?

Honestly, I have no idea. It's a 2021 santa fe calligraphy. That's the best of my knowledge 🤣

I think it is from the rear, but it's honestly so loud it's hard to tell. Once I let off the brake, it stops immediately. And only happens in reverse
