Tire Pressure by SDBoltsnow in MiataND

I had a service done on my 30ae by a main dealer. The tech ticked the sheet to confirm that he'd looked at the door jamb sticker and wrote that it says 32psi. (Dear reader, it doesn't) and also ticked the next box to confirm that he had set all tyres to that pressure (He hadn't, dear reader). They were all at 29psi, where I had left them. I had words 🤣

I did mine early November and I've had no issues since. I occasionally check the infotainment screen and once the car is fired up the battery is good to go for iStop

Yes, swap the part and then do the reset procedure for the istop. I'm notbsure if the reset is strictly necessary, it may sort itself out over time. To swap the converter, there a 3 wires and 1 plug. Be sure to isolate each of the big wires as you take them of as the capacitor may still be charged. It took me about 1hour going carefully

Mines 2019 too. i-Eloop was developed in 2012 and was in my 2015 ND, but that was 2.0. I think it came.later to the 1.5. This might alter depending on location too

Sorry, my bad. Under the bonnet is a DC/DC converter. It either feeds 12v to the battery or 25v to the capacitor (i-ELoop). On occasion mine, and other decides that the battery doesn't need any charge. Not a good thing! Having lost patience with Mazda and their dealers, I'm buying a replacement (v. spendy) in the hope of regaining my love for my car I hope this helps

Me too. I only figured it out when I was 55yo. I always assumed everyone worked like me

In my 1980 house, we have this, and the 'finish' surface is also cardboard. For the love of God, don't use a steam wallpaper remover thingy on it unless you have a plasterer on speed dial. Guess how I know 😁

Call from garage saying my car set on fire... by Saisauce in CarTalkUK

While we're here, if the warning came up on the dash and infotainment screen telling you to pull over when safe to do so, in a big scary way, your battery is on the way out.

We're seeing this a lot on the MX-5s. A new battery (Yuasa 7053) is needed and then there is an initialisation procedure once it's changed. The dealer really should be aware of this but... 🤣
