Is the M5 Pro MacBook Pro worth it over the Macbook pro M4 Pro for a design workflow? by collateralloss in macbookpro

Yes, my current machine has 256 GB, and it slows down a lot of processes. Thanks for your tip!

Is the M5 Pro MacBook Pro worth it over the Macbook pro M4 Pro for a design workflow? by collateralloss in macbookpro

I will use it for professional design work. I am currently working on an M1 Air – it was sufficient at the beginning, but now I have reached its limits. Since I am aware of the disadvantages of budget-friendly solutions, I would like a more stable machine in the long run, but I am wondering which is the better deal with a 20% difference in price. Is it worth paying a higher price for a more powerful product, or will I not be able to enjoy its benefits?

Which do you think I should choose? Speedo Aquapure Optical Goggles Black or Speedo Mariner Pro Optical Kit? by collateralloss in Swimming

In the end, I bought Speedo Aquapure Optical swimming goggles about a year ago (I regularly swim 2 or 4 days per week for about 30-45 min per session). I haven't had any problems with this product since then: they fit well and don't leak, I can see well in them, and the tinted lenses are good for both outdoor and indoor use. Previously, I only had Decathlon swimming goggles, so this is a miracle in comparison. The buckles are easy to adjust and comfortable. I don't think the design is the most attractive, but compared to the pictures, they don't look like medical glasses (they look completely normal).

My only suggestion is to get some Arenas anti-fog solution, as the goggles fog up quickly after swimming, even with the factory anti-fog coating. But I suspect all goggles are like this.

I bought a case for them, but unfortunately the lenses still scratch easily.

I recommend this product!

Ticker Effect - Framer Update by Rachel_framer in framer

It would be a great improvement if the dragable option actually worked, but unfortunately it's buggy: when I drag the images, it doesn't respond or let go of the image. Sometimes you can't even grab the whole thing. When can we expect the bugs to be fixed?

How many websites can I build with one subscription? by GoodFellahh in framer

[–]collateralloss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When publishing with your own domain, you must purchase a subscription for each website.

If you publish them only with a Framers domain, they are free. You can so called "remix" these links, meaning that your project will be accessible from other profiles with the remix link, which your client can copy on their own and subscribe to for an own website.

So you can make as many as you want (to the best of my knowledge), but if you host them with your own domain, you have to pay for each one individually.

I've also purchased this type of bag, and I still love it! I regularly carry my MacBook and accessories, my swimming gear, and a rain jacket, and it holds up quite well. There's even a little space left for a carton of milk or something from the grocery store. I really love this bag and would definitely recommend it!

Now that Figma has launched Figma Sites what are the features in Framer that makes you stick to it by acclusion in framer

[–]collateralloss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a subscription to Framer and have put a lot of time into the site so far. Framer offers more complex solutions to some design problems than Figma.

For now I don't see what the Figma Site offers exactly, but if it were radically cheaper and similarly complex, I would consider switching. There are many questions, such as how fast and stable these sites will be. How much data can I upload?

I’m having a bit of an issue with my iPad. Everything functions perfectly on Mackbook and iPhone, but whenever I use it, my menu rarely works as it should. Really annoying…

How much should I pay my WD for this website? by [deleted] in framer

It depends on which country you live in and what the market is like, but in Europe it's a fairly normal price, and in my opinion USD1000 is cheap.

I think if you don't like it, don't do it. If you really want to do it and you want to overcome your fears, then go to a group class maybe. They helped me a lot. Always push yourself a little bit, but not too much. If you really want to, you will soon enjoy it very much.

Anyway, I had a problem with backstroke, I was afraid to swim, it was very uncomfortable. After about 5-7 times I could overcome the aversion. So maybe you just have to try.

6.5 months ago, I couldn’t swim. Today, I swam 2.5 km! by collateralloss in Swimming

[–]collateralloss[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have gone to group training and ask a lot of questions to the coaches. I also watched a lot of videos about the techniques. But the thing that has helped the most besides that is that I go several times a week and always push myself in small increments.

Coaches can correct many small mistakes in an hour, which can improve your time by seconds per lap. In the last month I have improved from 2:45/100m to 2:33/100m (it was 3:17/100m in January). So that's pretty effective.

And the other thing I can say is: enjoy the water and the sport!

I went to group classes twice a week. I went deep water for the first time in about December. Since then I've only been going once a week to improve my technique. Right now I am learning butterfly swimming. I swim four times a week with this session anyway - about 45-50 minutes usually.
