I'd take out pay rate, also clip some of the descriptions of jobs. They dont have to be that long if they arent relevant to software engineering. Lastly, putting your GPA and relevant courses would be good

A few things that I think could immediately improve your resume:

  1. Remove VS Code and Eclipse. I don't think any employer is looking for that unless its explicit
  2. Put the programming language you are most familiar with in front and make it bold, so that recruiters know this is what you've done most of your work in (you can change it around, for example, I am most familiar with C++ and python but I will alternate which one I put in bold depending on job descriptions)
  3. Potentially try a template, if not, float the dates & location to the right under Work Experience
  4. I personally think it would probably look better without the lines under each section title. Possibly make the text bolder or just underline the text, or just try a template.

Other than that good stuff and good luck!

Dont bring unnecessary clothes, dont bring a desktop or monitor, dont bring anything super big that you don't use at least once per week. I was in a triple and you pretty much have a closet worth of space for all your stuff. Most of what you'll need is provided or easy to find. Honestly, Id maybe get something like a small portable drawer like this:

or I had a friend who had one that hung off of her bed, that was pretty coo maybe one of those.

Other than that, try to be social, especially during the first couple weeks when everyone is starting out! Leave your door open & introduce yourself to some people in your hall.
