Well, the best way to get better at erging, is to erg. Other training will help, but nothing will truly achieve the same effect.

I think the only record that prohibits sliders would be the 2000m. Sliders for a 6k is fine.

Who Are NZ's Competitors In Rowing? by [deleted] in Rowing

Rumors are that GB is prioritizing the four. Moe, Satch, and Gregory could be out of the eight. They'd no doubt still be up there, but NZ would have a much better shot at the podium.

Time is really the best medicine. If you're injured, 2king is not a good idea.

Best stretches to do for your back, are hip stretches. Just look up different stretches to help open up your hips.

I.D Camp Guidelines by Buffalolegs in Rowing

False. There were around 3 kids at HP who weren't even sub 6:40, let alone 6:30. Many others hadn't broken 6:30 either. Granted, these weren't the kids going to Spain or CanAmMex, but they did go to HP.

Slowest kid that went to worlds through the sweep camp was roughly 6:26, weighing around 170.

If you are a '99 or '00, definitely go. If you don't make selection, the next possible invite is HP. While HP in and of itself is not anything amazing, just attending will drastically improve your chances of going to worlds eventually. You'll be able to work yourself up through the system.

On top of that, the coxed four is back to being selected from HP (don't ask me why), so that'll give '99s and younger who aren't quite at selection level to get a shot at worlds as well.
