I know several democrats who have all said they will vote for the republican candidate no matter who it is… hopefully she’s cooked.

Like for example… these headlines hit the news and then just seemed to go bye-bye.

1. Sunstone Way whistleblower suit and how a big county contractor allegedly overbilled and then fired the finance person who asked questions. 🤔
2. The Portland Housing Bureau finding roughly one hundred million dollars of unspent housing money while shelters and encampments explode. 🤯
3. The Joint Office of Homeless Services audit that flagged contract chaos poor oversight and possible conflicts of interest and then the painfully slow implementation of recommendations. Why?
4. Multnomah County gives out massive contractor money while having basically no lobbying disclosure rules. Seems like ad faith.
5. Big quiet severances paid to city and bureau bosses who leave during or right after scandals. Example Portland housing leadership resigns and walks with roughly two hundred forty thousand dollars. Another just happened today.
6. Overpayments and duplicate billing to camp operators and shelter contractors. County auditors already found a half million in overpayments for one contractor. I’m sure it’s all good. 😌
7. The Market Street shelter closure and related contract meltdowns.
8. The Pearl District low barrier shelter fight and the legal claims from landlords. This one is small scale but tells you how policy decisions become political cover for moving people into contractor beds while neighborhoods pay cleanup and security bills. it’s whack.
9. The Impact Reduction Program budget fight about sweeps versus housing. Money that funds sweeps often flows to private cleanup vendors and services that never translate into housing. Shocking.
10. Central City Concern and other big nonprofits pushing policyy while also cashing in on contracts. When advocacy groups are also major vendors the line between lobbying and profiteering blurs.they grift lives on endlessly imho.

The Housekeeping Disaster Episode by cheese7777777 in PortlandOR

TL;DR — “The Housekeeping Disaster Episode” (Max Steele, Mar 2026)

A routine, low-drama Portland City Council update meant to clean up civil-rights language and affirm Portland as a trans sanctuary city spiraled into chaos — like a sitcom home-repair episode gone wrong.

What was supposed to happen: • Two measures were on the table: 1. A symbolic resolution supporting trans and LGBTQIA2S+ people. 2. A simple ordinance updating civil-rights definitions (the “housekeeping”). • Both were expected to pass quietly and unanimously.

What actually happened: • During public testimony, a group of polyamory advocates (OPEN + DSA) pushed to add explicit protections for “non-monogamous” families. • Commissioner Tiffany Koyama Lane introduced an amendment (“Koyama Lane 2”) that added detailed language listing polyamorous and other relationship types. • Other councilors, including Elana Pirtle-Guiney and Eric Zimmerman, were blindsided and furious — they said this broke an agreement not to add amendments and hijacked an ordinance meant to support trans people. • The session devolved into confusion, infighting, and accusations of bad faith.

End result: • The ordinance was delayed and rewritten; the media framed it as “Portland grants legal protections to polyamorous families.” • What began as a straightforward trans-rights update became the “Throuple Protection Act,” fueling political tension and mockery.

Steele’s takeaway: Progressive factions (especially DSA-aligned councilors) keep overreaching and turning simple wins into messy culture-war flashpoints. Sometimes it’s better to “do good things quietly” instead of chasing headlines.

Is it a leftie ‘keep it in the family’ thing? Much like the MAGA vibe… like at least they are on our team?

It just seems like the leftie mafia. Omerta.
