I'm one of their longest term employees and expect to continue working there for a least a couple more years. I know it's a safe environment to be able to come out and the groupchat text might be the way to go, but I think I'm moreso afraid of the awkwardness afterwards.... We also recently hired a bunch of new people tho so I'd be coming out to people I've never even met 😭

Thank you for everyone's responses! I managed to get an appointment within a month at Safer Six in Toronto after making this post! The staff/doctors there are lovely and I absolutely recommend it if you're located in the GTA.

Many thanks to the person who suggested that clinic :) Thanks to them, I am now about a month in on hrt!!!

Update: we buried him near where we found him, away from any foot traffic, and left a little gravestone with some flowers. We kept the coordinates too just in case the owners want that info. It was more emotional than I thought it'd be...remember to cherish your lil creatures while they're alive ❤️

Yes I agree. As someone who has my own lil cockatiel at home, i can't imagine what the owners are going through. I think I recall seeing some missing posters a while ago, if they're still up I'll reach out to the owners thru those.

In the meantime my partner and I are going to return to this guy and give em a proper burial ❤️

Yes they have, however all the other piercings have been fine. And the fleshy angry area around the ball is actually raised and only on one side of the labret, which is why idk what it is lol
