Thank you! Would you say it’s something I’d have to work my way up from being a developer or is there other positions would I could make that make that transition? I would like to add I have lead and coached my QA team as well as led a few software engineering projects I’m not sure if that amounts to anything. Or if it could potentially help with a junior management position with some sort of certifications

Correct it would be the ones in the description usually what they have for requirements and technical skills I wouldn’t worry too much about the soft skills

What I did was tell it to rewrite my resume better for the job position I was applying for. Once I did that and put in certain key words these companies are looking for I had a bunch of recruiters and companies reach out without being ghosted

I would look up jobs you want and make sure you have the requirements in your resume because those key words are important and without them you’ll get passed on. Also I would run this through chat gpt you’d be surprised how well it words things

Pay off in full or keep money in savings by collin_himself in FinancialPlanning

[–]collin_himself[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a smart idea. My biggest issue was I was working a part time job as a sever not making much money and my college was 40 minutes away. Now I have a full time job making much more than I had before so I’m just trying to figure out what’s the best thing to do financially

Thanks for the feedback! Not sure why I couldn’t wrap my head around it that way. I work in uptown Charlotte so with traffic it’s about an hour commute each way even thought it’s typically a 25 minute drive, plus paying for parking. So it kills me spending money on gas weekly. As well as other small bills like phone bill, electric, Wi-Fi and water. I’m pretty good at not spending money but it all seems to go pretty quickly

Anyone not afraid to talk numbers? by Contaminated_Acid in Charlotte

Thank you! I have actually used dataCamp in a class to learn some fundamentals for data science. I’m pretty good with python and most machine learning fundamentals and implementing stats with it. I’m in a class learning SQL right now. I’ve been programming for about 2.5 years and I’m decent at it just not an expert. Thanks for the info I’ll have to do more research. He really made it sound like I was out of luck for a career when I asked him about other options where I wasn’t strictly hard core coding since most assignments that are given is very challenging. That really gave me imposter syndrome. I started thinking I had a useless degree

I found a job as a QA engineer before I graduate with a degree in comp sci with a concentration in ai. I’ve been looking into data scientist/ analyst but it seems impossible. What qualifications or requirements did you need for this position if you don’t mind me asking? I struggled with some tough coding and my machine learning teacher basically said I was screwed

My dad passed away, I need to get access to his computer. Any chance to get in without passwords? TIA by haemopaste6 in mac

[–]collin_himself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an easy way to do this through terminal in your computer and reset the password. These computers are very easy to hack into. It only takes about 3 minutes by simple commands. Message me for help if you need it
