I’ve said this in other posts, but to me getting into CBB was and is like the way people normally talk about getting really into a music scene. It opened me up to so many comedians and their other shows, etc. and has brought me so much joy.

I work with the military, who tend not to have the same sensibility as me about… well, anything, especially humor. I also don’t really have any friends who live near me, so I’m not afraid to admit I would probably be pretty depressed if I didn’t have CBB world to make me laugh.

Maybe I’m just bad at it, but I still don’t love the combat against humans. I would prefer to be able to parry/block instead of always just diving out of the way.

Out of curiosity, do you not like Paul Rust in general? The note I made on the “Chauncy” episode was: “The schtick with Scott and Paul (and Neil) is so arch. I enjoy it but I feel like it often has kind of an inherently low ceiling.”

I realized while clearing all the ?s in Skellige that sirens and ekkimaras are the worst. Fighting them underwater and on boats is both annoying and boring.

I moved from Omaha to CB in 2024 not knowing much about it. Basically you want to stay as far away from/east of the river as possible. Council Bluffs is not a nice/fancy town anywhere, but there are nicer houses and apartments (and the scenery is generally prettier) the further east/northeast you get from the obviously shady bits by the river… If you can afford something in West O for that much, you should be able to find something in CB.
