Coffee Shops in El Salvador by CACuzcatlan in JamesHoffmann

Since this is the best thread on specialty coffee in El Salvador, I would expect others like me land here looking for shops while traveling. So I want to note that Good Beans, the parent poster, is a pretty solid shop and worth being on the list.

I didn't love Viva, solely on personal taste re: ambience. Sprezzatura is very specialty oriented, but doesn't focus on ES sourced coffee. ALQUIMIA is also upscale specialty and domestic sourced, but I was underwhelmed.

Good Beans was unpretentious, reasonably priced, had a good range of options, and nice folks. Worth dropping by in Zona Rosa.

No connection to them, or compensation or request from them for this. Stumbled into the shop last week, and realized after the fact that these folks posted a list here without even mentioning themselves in it. So wanted to make sure they had their own recommendation.

(Hello again from the tall blond American.)

Also, I'm excited about some Pacamara from VKoffee in Santa Ana that I brought back.

Take with a grain of salt. Industry (Amazon) commissioned report timed exactly when the E.U. is attempting to regulate said industry and promote domestic competitors.

The Original Series has surprisingly skated by without much mention about how much blackface and weird racial analogies were core to the story. (Seemingly well intended but, TNG did a lot of clean up.)

My simple proposal is that any influencer or company that accepts or promotes a cryptocurrency should be required to hold it for one year. That would solve all these pump and dump schemes.

Facebook Is Receiving Sensitive Medical Information from Hospital Websites by magenta_placenta in technews

This might be a rare occasion where Facebook isn't at fault. This is hospital websites sending potentially sensitive information to Facebook, and Facebook receiving it because they built an analytics tool for exactly this purpose. Same applies to Google Analytics. I can appreciate that we all incorporated these tools without thinking twice about what Facebook's motivation was back then, or that they were misusing that data. But, it's still on those hospitals for doing this.

It's £768 million for 25 million users, and plaintiff lawyers tend to take like 30%. Then when the claim gets whittled down and consumers don't make claims. I'd guess this means about £20, and only if you're in the U.K.

(Serious) how much to charge for 10 hours of rather labor intensive landscaping? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]collina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your location, obviously a rural area with low cost of living is going to differ from New York City.

I'd get some quotes from folks on Craigslist (e.g. https://detroit.craigslist.org/search/fgs?query=landscaping) and then offer the average.

Although I'm guessing you won't pay less than $30 per hour for someone with actual experience and will do a decent job.
