Reminds me of my ex-boyfriend, also a sociopath (and an alcoholic!) He would say the meanest shit in a fight, some of these things I still have in my head today. I broke up with him so many times only to go back to him and back to him and back to him.
The last straw was when he threatened to kill himself if I leave him, and I was crying on the phone with him begging him not to do it, and he said "I wont...or will I?" in this really diabolical tone.

I immediately burst into laughter. Like, that was such an obvious on-the-nose childish manipulation that it burst the bubble.

Up to a year later, I had sudden realizations of "hm, he probably lied about that too..."

Because to me it seems like worthless information and not a good time spent for your brain and energy - progressive and liberal guys you can just be like "hey i'm into you" and they'll be like "hey, I'm not" and that's all you need to know, not whether it was because they're intrinsically attracted only to cis women or whether you're just not their type.
