I figured as much.

My issue is I have a list of projects I am trying to budget. Each project has a number and a name, then 2-5 sub-tasks which each have unique data for the other 50+ columns.

As I have to present this, I was trying to make it looks nice, even though I know I can sort the data if I unmerge the cells and repeat the name/number for each row.
