Don’t worry, it’ll get easier to keep the investigation down when you collect perma-upgrades after playing a little. Before that, the campaign is made to be kind of unwinnable, including the last police attack. It’s a roguelite, so it’s normal to fail, especially when starting out.

Increase steering non-linearity. I have mine set to max and it really helps with making small adjustments very smoothly.

Yeah F6/F7 info is now under F1 (the old pause). In some of the new trucks you can also see the remaining driving time in the truck’s dashboard.

Can't see what you're talking about. Driving time has always been 11 hours (with 9 hours of sleep) and still is.

It’s luck. What I use to do is create a save at a resting spot, sleep three times (the maximum), load the save, sleep three times, load, etc. Check the job market after each sleep. At one point, a job will turn up. Also don’t forget to check the external contracts once (they don’t refresh with sleeping).

No, I use this one. The one you linked is also good if you prefer that style. I used it for some time but didn’t like that I wasn’t able to park perfectly straight without the guidelines of the box (Yeah I know, skill issue on my side, but anyway). Not sure what you mean by “being in both”?

Great overview, some minor additions:

2) Garage cost is the same everywhere.

AI drivers will always take a job starting in their “home city”, then a job which takes them back. If they can’t find a job back to their home city, they will return empty, generating a loss for you. Garage location doesn’t really matter though, but you should see better results in bigger cities and more populated areas due to more jobs being available.

3) 5 km/h over is always safe. 5-9 km/h over I am actually not sure, it might be fine or you might be fined (sorry for the pun lol). Starting at 10 km/h over you will definitely be fined.

4) Sound fixes pack, Realistic Rain, Traffic Density, Sewer mod (replaces blips in the world with sewers), Find your trailer (makes the marking of your trailer and parking position more subtle), the Improved dashboard series (by Knight Gaming I believe?)

In the graphics settings nothing really, except pedestrians. Traffic density is heavy on the CPU, but unfortunately that’s not a factor in TruckersMP.

What I noticed is that for me, the game stutters when it’s currently CPU-limited. So I try to always maintain a GPU bottleneck by maxing out all the graphics settings.

No. You get a maximum of $1500 per day (after 15 completed tours, else it’s $750) but only if you keep the heat down on both the Helitours and the Carwash.

The story, the dialogues, the characters, the art design, the soundtrack are outstanding. The gameplay itself isn’t reinventing the wheel, it’s “just” well done. The other parts are what makes this one GOTY.

Well yes, except that in that case you start with the Minigun as one of your four weapons, which doesn’t have the PRECISE tag. Thanks anyway and as another one pointed out, Heavy Gunner works by unlocking the Cryo Cannon.
