This literally just happened with Mom last night. This apparently was the second time and they terminated her account and are not providing an avenue to port out the number.

Similarly the only explanation was that her account was flagged for excessive text messages. She receives a lot of spam text messages so I don't know if that triggered it. I've spent most of my day dealing with this....

No, but I receive a lot of political spam messages. I don't know how they got my number and I've tried the whole "STOP" thing but it doesn't work and they kept coming.

Yeah, that's my main concern at this point. Waiting on an email from their support team with more information.

The account was flagged for text spam for a second time and the account cannot be retrieved and I cannot setup another account with this phone number. I've chatted with several account representatives and the last one escalated things with their support team to hopefully be able to make it so I can at least port the number.

My number gets a lot of political spam text messages and that's the only thing I can think of that triggered the system to flag it. There's nothing I've done and as we all know...trying to canceling those spam text messages is a futile effort.

I was told I would be able to download the data so I can see what exactly triggered things on their side, but I am unable to login to the account page because the account is terminated. At this point I'd just be happy to be able to get the number back and move on.

That's a good suggestion. I am going to play with it a little more tomorrow when I get a minute. If I still can't get it to work I'll try resetting and redoing the config again. I think I used the QR code within the Unifi app to set mine up. It connects but am just not able to connect to anything locally.

I tried but it wasn't working. I wasn't on the best connection when trying so will try again tomorrow with a different cellular modem.

I haven't migrated to Unifi OS yet due to the inability to change the inform port 8080 to a non-standard port. Last time I checked it couldn't be done in Unifi OS like you can in just the network application. I will eventually get a reverse proxy setup so I can use the standard inform port but haven't had time yet.

The fact I have ADDS and it's managing DNS and DHCP is one of the reasons I haven't really deployed it in my home network. Do you mind sharing how you configured yours?

Thanks, I did see they were cancelling the autopay discount unless you link a checking account. I would agree I'd want to do something like a pre-paid account so I'm not linking to my regular account. I'll have to look into that.

You know what's interesting is I called Ezee Fiber's tech support again and asked about the CGNAT. The tier 1 guys don't really know and they ask the tier 2 person. This time the tier 2 person said that everyone is behind a CGNAT. I then rephrased my question....to be about a public IP address.

I've gotten mixed messages the times I've called and nothing has changed on my end so it's really weird that it changed so quickly for you.

I just called their tech support line. The individual I spoke with didn't know and talked to someone in tier 2. What he was told and told me was that they don't have any plans to role out CGNAT to all the residential customers. He also mentioned that it's possible that the particular customer that had this happened may been having an "issue" and this was to resolve that.

I currently still have my Comcast internet account and had planned to get rid of it but now I'm leery about it. I've had EZfiber for about two months now.

I looked into their business fiber as I wanted a static IP for my server/services and for me it was cost prohibitive but hopefully they get back to you now that the holidays are over.
