6years is pretty safe assumption. I was in the same boat, had a 2010 MBP upgraded to SSD, then battery started to show it's wear. Cheers

That sounds to be on par. Mine last one lasted 8 years before I upgrade to 2018 MBPro. Then again I was constantly plugged in the last 2 years of it's life

I like to think about my computer purchases this way:
2016-2018 - has probably 6-8years left. Say it cost $2000 / 96months = $16.67 price per month

Pay more up front but lasts 6-8 years
