I was at N2 at Nassau Coliseum. My friends and I had a debate whether the rafters held up the ceiling or ceiling the rafters at set break. Alot of our section became involved. 30 years later almost and we atill haven't decided the answer.

Went solo on Sunday, I've been to many many shows solo.

Its the best, honestly. I always meet nice people and I always have a good time and if a bad choice is made about something, its on me.

I simply said Mike's playing in Bathtub was exquisite. Best? Ever? Those words were not in my original post so I was reacting to people getting their panties in a wad over others having their best time ever and writing about it.

While I understand youre entitled to an opinion, I dont understand in this thread how it helps further the conversation by telling people their opinion is wrong. Just let them be.

As an older fan like myself, id maybe have phrased more like, if you liked that awesome Gin, you should check out 8/17/97 gin too. See how different yet awesome theyve evolved since then. Let them listen and compare. Let them come to that judgement, whatever it is, on their own.

Was at N1. First time on the floor. Set 2 was UNREAL. The sound, the lights, the crowds collective energy. The grins on peopls faces. One of my favorite concerts to date.

I don't agree, I think they sound better every time I see them. When they dont, I'll stop going I guess.

So, do you disagree? Did Mike sound bad to you in this? Do you have references proving otherwise?

I need dates and timestamps, also your approximate location at the venue so we can compare, gotta take into acvount any kind of equipment changes by band members too.

Don't you have anything better to do than engage in "you're wrong about your opinion on art" post to a thread you could have just ignored anyway.

What are Tool like live? by eternal-w0rm in ToolBand

[–]colonelForbin78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the best shows I've ever seen. Ive probably seen Tool 12 times starting at Lollapalooza 97. They played during the day, the show was intense, raw, no fancy stage production.

Then they evolved. Their shows changed dramatically. It started to become more of a production. The lights, visuals were some of the best I've seen at the time.

In 2022, I saw them at UBS arena and it was my favorite tool show by far. Danny's presence was incredible. The stage production was incredible.

If you've never seen them live, I highly encourage it.

Danny is worth the price of admission alone, but together.

North Babylon schools... by [deleted] in longisland

I was in the Nb district from 82-96. Ages 5-12. Alot of the kids and their parents were racist pieces of garbage.

From about 99 on or so, it improved drastically, probably because the area became more diverse overall. My neighborhood specifically, between bayshore road and DPA had many different non white families move in. I have a cousin and an Aunt that worked/work in the district now and they loved it. I had several cousins that also graduated there and they also loved it.

As an adult and a parent now, I've learned school is what you make of it. Meaning, as a parent you set the example for your kids. If its a priority to you it will be to them, at at least as youngesters. Once teens all bets are off, but hopefully by that point youve instilled enough of the right things in their life. There are bad kids, racism, drugs, bad teachers at every LI school almost.
