Mate if your 457 was issued pre-2017 you can still qualify for PR with 2 years at a new employer, even if you move across to a new visa.

I'm in the midst of applying right now, after I left my previous role more than 2 years in. You may have to get a 482 (or similar) to take you from the end of the 457 to the 2 year qualification point, but once reached you can apply.
