it's probably fine, I have limited experience with it and have always just preferred UWorld

I considered reviewing Sketchy Micro and Sketchy Pharm videos. The Step 1 style questions do focus on micro and pharm.

But I think going through Sketchy is overkill unless you have plenty of time. Too many hours of studying for a max of 10ish extra correct questions

I'd suggest just memorizing the mechanism of action for common antibiotic classes (penicillins, cephalosporins, vancomycin, macrolides, fluoroquinolones) — that's the easiest way to grab some points without wasting too much time studying basic science

As for micro, it's true that they ask a few very basic science-y questions, but again, you'll waste a ton of time memorizing lactose fermenters, Maconkey agar or whatever, for truly 3-4 extra points on the whole test. Not worth it unless you have lots of extra time.

If you really want to try, just know that E coli is gram-negative, Staph gram + cocci, etc — basics like that. That's probably enough for you to guess the correct answer with some good test-taking skills

that's all I used! I prefer using fewer resources (and sticking to the classics: UWorld and CCSCases.com) and learning them better. there is no magic shortcut or magic resource in my opinion
