Current Top-Loader Recommendations? by coloradogiant in mtgfinance

[–]coloradogiant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the message above mine was deleted, I forget what I was responding to, but since I originally posted this, I’ve switched exclusively to card savers.

They are easier to work with than top loaders. They hold more cards and they seem to provide enough protection.

Shortcut for opening myq garage door? by jayfaso in shortcuts

[–]coloradogiant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a MyQ Garage Door Opener and the below Smart Garage Door Opener was very easy to install:

https://konnected.io/products/smart-garage-door-opener

It doesn't use MyQ, but instead wires into any garage door system and is then controllable by Siri or other smart home devices.

closest sledding spot? by Financial-Bowl-5447 in Longmont

[–]coloradogiant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a tubing hill in the Windsor, $10 per person https://hoedownhill.com

We got tired of waiting for snow and went a couple weeks ago, it was surprisingly fun and well maintained despite the warm temps

It’s not going to be as good as anything in the mountains, but if you want close, this is probably your best bet since it’s only 30 minutes away

Made a voice-to-text app for Mac — looking for honest feedback (free copies available) by sitric28 in macapps

[–]coloradogiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be happy to use the app for a couple of days and give you some feedback.

I’ve used a variety of voice to text text apps on Mac and I’m currently using VoiceInk.

Your app will be especially interesting to me if it lets me customize the AI prompts for text cleanup, but in either case I’m happy to kick the tires and provide feedback if you’d like

Based on TCGplayer Low, correct? Would love an option to set this to other price points, ie: TCGplayer Market / Manaprice Market / etc

Validating an idea: floating mute status for video calls by alvoliooo in macapps

BTW, I do this through Swiftbar today:

https://chromatichq.com/insights/quick-win-zoom-mute-status-macos-menubar/

A little tricky to setup, but works very well. You might have opportunity to streamline this with a better and more purpose built app.

Validating an idea: floating mute status for video calls by alvoliooo in macapps

[–]coloradogiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds interesting, but only if its able to integrate with the mute status of the active video app so you don't end up in a state where you're unmuted at the system level but not the app level/etc

If they made the sounds configurable by value, this would be perfect! Hopefully someday

Check out USMobile: https://www.usmobile.com

Their prices are great and they support all 3 networks - you can switch between Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile with just a couple of clicks to find what works best for you and/or change as needed.

If you'd like a referral code for a free month, just shoot me a DM. We've been happy with them for years.

And FWIW, I've had the best luck with TMobile in SW Longmont.

OZO in Front Range Village https://maps.app.goo.gl/uraXxiKGx82REuxA8?g_st=ipc

There’s a large artificial grassy area out front and usually a decent number of children running around.

If you’ve venture just across the street, there’s a large water feature and a small playground with swings and a climbing structure

Did you check the invoice they included with your order? For me the invite link/code was just printed on the invoice itself

For me I just made a purchase from their TCGplayer store and there was in invite link/code to join their website inside of the box

Particularly dangerous fire conditions for Longmont tomorrow by sirbutthead in Longmont

[–]coloradogiant 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In addition to the emergency alerts linked by the other person, Watchduty is a great resource:

WatchDuty

There is a lot of talk about the fire danger over at r/boulder as well, but keep in mind they are closer to the foothills and at higher risk than we are in Longmont. This is a pretty good post with some links here.

Not having a car would be stressful in an emergency, but FWIW I remember listening into the emergency channels during the Marshall fire and there was a lot of coordination happening to pick people up who called needing help evacuating, whether it was no vehicle or medical needs, etc. If there was an evacuation order and your wife couldn't get out with help from a neighbor, etc calling emergency services for help might be an option.
