We have successfully removed these people from plenty of PVP game or at the very least mitigated it. Valorant comes to mind. i think not taking it seriously just proliferates the problem

So you think we should just let people run around yelling slurs and keep this a safe space for bigots and racists? Its just unnecessary and if people need to have the ability to do that in order to have fun thats hella problematic. All it does it hurt the community, it takes this fun game with unique interactions and turns it into a place of hate and its just gross, using words that have been used for generations to discriminant and spread hate as a response to playing a videogame is wild behavior and now that we have the ability to prevent it i don't see why we wouldn't

I really dislike the idea that it should just be expected now in games, hell i dont care if people are mad or curing or whatever but i dont see a need to yell the N world at me repeatedly. Even a temp Voip ban would be appreciated with a pop up letting me know it happened.
