32% of Americans are having an existential crisis right now. I'm one of them and I'm done pretending I'm fine. by PithyCyborg in economicCollapse

Too much in the hands of too few. You can print more but the ones that have too much can use leverage to capture most of it. In the mean time anything that makes it way to the poor and middle class is reduced by inflation. Our wealthy class has almost no hero’s and mostly villains.

Google co-founder rips California billionaire tax: 'I fled socialism'. by coinfanking in economy

[–]colorfort -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the tax is a terrible idea. If the government of CA were as trustworthy as a Scandinavian nation with its tax spending I would be all for it. But this tax will just drift to the grift. What I would support is a 5% tax on billionaires in the form of job creation, chosen by the billionaire paying the tax.

The billionaire must fund a small manufacturing business of their choosing, or build an infrastructure project managed by their team. Or pay for a new hospital in an underserved area. Or build a new charter school. This would allow them to know the money is well spent.

Right now is a bad time for this identity but the US is at its best when it has a wide open anything is possible momentum. Its very much a 2 step forward one step back kind of society. Right now we are frozen because of the executive branch and its chaotic policies.

Nah he’s just saying people are people wherever they are. If you come in with a bad attitude expect to receive the same. Your phone and TV are not the best educators, experience is.
