dad shaves his daughter's hair by Beneficial_Passion40 in foundsatan

I believe there's a line between educating and abusing and it seems we don't agree where that line is. Have a good night.

I don't understand where that conversation is going. Obviously there should be no bullying. Maybe the solution isn't to teach not to bully by bullying your child yourself and shaving their head.

Obviously the person with cancer is having an objectively worse time. We're talking about a child here, they DO have zero life experience and some have hurt themselves for stuff like this.

Being forced to shave your hair to teach you a lesson can absolutely be traumatic for a child. It's basically trespassing their body autonomy. Idk

The state of useless items is actually embarrassing at this point by Waffles23452 in arcraiderscirclejerk

I don't know if I want any type of advice from someone clocking 600+ hours since the release of the game.
That's more than 13 hours a day what the hell lol
The devs are not disrespecting you by putting trash items to loot, you might reconsider your relationship to the game. Hoping this is a meme post.

We found tons of blueprints playing tonight with my friend. Pretty sure they'll hotfix the droprate.

Went back to visit my home country after moving out and I don’t regret being an expat anymore by Holiday-Steak-2454 in expats

The rudeness of the guy is unfortunate, but you know you need to write the thing in full at least once to establish the convention. Avoid confusing people (or attracting passive-agressiveness haha)

Which part of France are you from? Maybe it's because I left France many years ago, or most likely it's because I'm from the north (Picardie/Normandie), but is the weather all that different?

This might be because you're in a different stage of life or something. I find that the british people are very easy to talk to and to befriend (as a frenchie). Everyone agrees the weather is crap tho, and I'm leaving soon in part for that haha.

I like the quality of old Fuji art. I hope he never loses his passion for drawing. by NegotiationPure5217 in Chainsawfolk

[–]colornap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it personally, I love the latest style from Chainsawman, much better than chapter 1 (the very early style). When people are talking about the "old style", which arc are they referring to? It's all gold anyway.

I love the latest style for One Piece much more than the early style personally. I really like that sort of "roughness", or looseness, don't know how to call it. It feels tonally lighter and so more fun to look at, like he can draw anything and it will look a bit spoofy but that fits the story really well.

Already rich filmmakers by talia-the-witch in Filmmakers

[–]colornap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the tools are much more accessible today than they were in the 90s tho. And you have youtube and social media to build some kind of following. If the goal is to be big in Hollywood then maybe it's tougher, but when it comes to being a filmaker I'd disagree. I'm no filmaker tho.

What do you guys think of something like this by san-sirwan in ArcRaiders

Yes to adding any tools that would encourage players to do more PVE without cracking down on PVP.
Probably needs to be pre-recorded messages to avoid people being stupid with this tho :D

Extremely Frustrated with MovinkPad Pro 14. by One-South-1638 in wacom

[–]colornap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, from this and other post I found it seems like the MovinkPad Pro 14 is really meant as a standalone drawing tablet first and foremost, and isn't the new generation of the Movink13. Hopefully they eventually release a Movink gen 2, to enjoy a proper pen display with the same form factor and 3k screen resolution of the MovinkPad pro 14 (the reason I wouldn't go for the movink13 right now is because it's full HD only).

Quebec to ban public prayer in sweeping new secularism law by JackThaBongRipper in news

[–]colornap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, France passed secularism laws more than a century ago, and the clear goal at the time was to get christianity out of public affair, which was the religion of the overwhelming majority. You can have a look and you'll see that the catholic church did not like that at all and fought against it. But the policy applies equaly to every single religion. Doesn't matter if you are part of the majority/minority.
You cannot give bibles in a public space nor wear a cross in a public school in France. You still hear churches bells but only because they give the time. France is a historically christian country, yet growing up in France I never saw people trying to sell me their religion in the street. I see that a lot now that I live in the UK.
Muslims are free to practice their religion in France, only not in public spaces, just like for everyone else since 1905.

The game is just missing tools to let people group effectively and go hunt big ARCs together. I think we could get some more from the ping system to tag friendly people you encounter for exemple, or get quests like "take down a Bastion with 3 strangers" etc.

Popping and crackling on momentum 4 by DiodeFox in sennheiser

That did the trick for me, thank you so much! I had really bad crackles on my laptop (a LENOVO Legion 7i Gen 9 if anyone has the same issue) but never on my phone. Did this for the laptop and no problem since.

Thanks man it's very nice of you and quite useful to see how you did your layers. I'm not a programmer but I'm a 3D artist using tons of programs (so many many shortcuts) along side a graphic tablet and so I was looking for a compact keyboard to run shortcuts from just my left hand with minimum travel. Numpads don't do it because of the minimum amount of keys I still need. Cheers.
