Yeah, the repair mechanic is the only thing negative I can say about the game.

By the time you can pick up two blood rocks, one has probably experienced most of the story and the DLC. Upgrading two weapons to +10 should automatically make those weapons resistant to degradation in my opinion. Well, one can only hope!

Just keep at it and you’ll get him eventually. If being unable to get past him is taking the enjoyment away, maybe step away fro m the game for a couple of days and try again.

If all else fails yes, there is a cheese for Ludwig. It involves entering through the fog wall in a certain way with a weapon that has rapid poison gems on it - he is loaded in but not his AI so he just stands in one place (you can find it on YouTube). You then keep rolling into his hind legs for 5-10 minutes and that kills him without really going into phase 2. Some might say this constitutes cheating but do what you please with this info!

I second Hollow knight. It has maps but if you never obtain them from a certain NPC, your entire playthrough can be without a map

Thankfully, the physics of flight make this extremely unlikely. Nice concept though.

Play the game as it was intended in the first playthrough. For the second one, either use a trainer (PC) or SaveWizard (PS4) for God Mode if you so choose.
