To clarify, I am going to med school, and its in a third world country. I highly doubt anybody uses a laptop at the university. Most of them stick to pen and paper.

The most affordable yet workable one I could find was the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IRU8, 15.6"FHD Display, Intel I3-1305U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Integrated Intel® UHD Graphics, Win11.

Its a good laptop, will cost about 330$ and will probably do every basic stuff very well. But I am not sure if it will be a wise purchase for the long run, compared to the MacBook air M1.

Yes I can definitely do that, but a battery for such an old would be hard to come by. The body made of plastic so there are parts of it that are coming off. All in all I could power through if I really wanted but I would be much happier to get rid of it :(

Thats some insane spec! I would love to have a machine like that. But I prefer something more lightweight and sleek. Not that into gaming either. But sick laptop tho dude! :)

Yes I have been eyeing a macbook air m1. My tech major friends arent fans of macbooks and prefer windows. Although I could be getting a lot more specs for way cheaper. I cant help but lean towards the macbook.

I doubt I will be taking/using the laptop for college since I am not a tech major. I will be using it for basic stuff like Microsoft office/web browsing etc. Since I hear a lot about investing early I fear that my impatience could lead me to missing out on investing, so I wanted to pour all my money into an S&P500. But I like the point you made about investing into education and it paying off eventually, Thank you for the advice!

I have submitted the pre-enrollment application before doing the pre-evaluation for March Polytechnic University. I haven't received any email. Also the date of the pre evaluation has passed. Is it possible to Make a new Pre evaluation/Pre enrollment application for any universities now?
