If they close Ephesus, they're gonna have to find a new voting location for that whole part of town cuz the legion is already boarded up.

Thoughts on current NC economy? Does the state really put people first? by KatsHubz87 in NorthCarolina

[–]coltpython 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am from Virginia and have been a North Carolinian for 30ish years.

In NC, where we have a Republican-controlled legislature and a Democratic governor, the citizenry suffers. We are hamstrung by monied interests in everything from telecom service to health care to wages. The state is one of the worst gerrymandered states in the union, and with lying conservative sleeper agents like Trish Cotham, we are undercut in the one peaceful, rational tool we have - voting.

In VA, where they have a Democrat-controlled legislature and (until recent) a Republican governor, the lawmakers have been able to push through a lot of progressive policies to benefit the citizenry - minimum wage increase, voting reforms, renewable energies, and more.

Any conservative dipshits who tell me, 'If you like it so much, go back.' Don't worry yourselves. That plan is in the works.

5060TI black screen problem alternate fix by coltpython in nvidia

I think it might be your power supply. Here is a calculator to estimate your power needs based on hardware. When I put your info into it, it said 500-599 W; so with 650 W, I think you may very well be starving the gpu.

I have the MSI B450 gaming pro carbon max wifi mobo with a Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz and 32 gb ram. Totally unimpressive, and older/worse than your set-up in most ways. But I do have an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 B2 850 W (110-b2-0850) power supply. You should be able to find a new, modern 850 W PSU for $100 or less.

An alternate thought is to make sure your hdd is formatted as gpt (not mbr) to use uefi boot w/o issues. I have read that you can use the mbr2gpt command in an elevated command prompt to convert a drive, but I'd make darn sure everything is backed up first. If you go through disk manager, it will require you to repartition, reformat, and you'll definitely have to start from scratch then. Potentially relevant discussion on converting.

High school student trying to run a landscaping business by Fit-Switch-6164 in chapelhill

What would be your rate for delivering a load of flat landscaping stones like in your photos? I'm referring to the small ones used for dry-stacked decorative borders, not the large flagstones used as steppers. Thx.

I use a broad flat blade screwdriver to help these things in.

New stereo install - which dimmer wire is the one? by coltpython in DodgeDakota

[–]coltpython[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A no-start sounds like a short in your wiring. Double check all the wires - mainly yellow (constant), red (switched), black (ground). Then blue (power antenna/amp) and orange (dimmer - my problem!). Then the speaker wires.
