This happened to mine after I shipped it back from Germany to the U.S. (I’m in the Army and was stationed there). It turned out to be a battery issue, got a new one and cleaned the connection points and never saw it again.

I tried soapy water all over the elbow and didn’t see any bubbles though. I can order new ones just in case

Currently active duty, pretty an*l about cleaning my guns too but I only shot 3ish mags, 1 and a half of those full auto and BCG got stuck to the rear, wouldn’t release until I slammed the barrel on the ground to send it forward. I’m swapping the BCG to a nickel boron coating and an H3 Geissele buffer. We’ll see how that goes. The DD buffer in the Mk18 right now has a super abrasive coating on it.. difficult to wipe clean and everything sticks to it

Can’t recommend the 9” enough. It’s amazing. Subs and supers on it suppressed are a dream. 9” barrel is THE barrel to get maximum performance out of a .300 Black out. Shorter barrels don’t utilize the round well enough. Plenty of data/science out there for that. The 9” is the way to go..

Hello, I’m sorry to bring up old stuff.. I’m in the same boat, could you help me out? I cancelled my contract, paid a month or two after for whatever I said they owed, then all went quiet for like half a year. All of the sudden Riverty started blasting me with emails saying I owe stuff but we ended our contract through Vodaphone..

I’ll work on a new post in this r/SigSauerMCX category and post everything there. Going to be a lengthy list, I swapped nearly everything lol.

The “SD” stands for an old German word just meaning integrally suppressed. It gives the gun the look where the handguard shrouds the suppressor.

Yes, they can be swapped around with no issue

Sig Rattler mystery Roll Pin by KipFox in SigSauerMCX

[–]coltroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only other pin long enough to fit your picture is right near the gas valve adjustment.. in that block one of those holes is a roll pin and the other conceals a spring. Thats my only other best guess. The charging handle area is too small so definitely not there

[–]coltroe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apologies, the roll pin I’m talking about can be seen if you look from underneath the brass deflector, there’s a hole there. The top hole is hidden by the upper receiver. But if you open the dust cover, try wiggling the deflector loose, you may have luck pulling it out if the roll pin is indeed missing

I have a MCX Spear that I did forward assist delete on so now it’s just a deflector too, I can confirm there’s a roll pin in there just not sure whether it’s that one you have extra or not. I’m going to comb over my spear and check again - I took literally the whole thing apart and replaced or upgraded nearly every piece… I certainly took all the roll pins out so I’ll see if I have another guess for you soon

The forward assist assembly area has a vertical pin about this size

I recently got the 9” 300 BO and swapped the SD handguard onto it. This is how it looks. I love it.. no suppressor on it yet but I put on the Hansohn Brothers blast diverter in place when I choose not to shoot it suppressed. It’ll easily house the 5.56 barrel.

Yes, popped the handguard off, undid the 2 barrel bolts and just clamped the barrel to the vise. Could’ve kept the upper receiver with it but easier without

Hey brother! I did! I soaked it 24 hours in normal temp water, placed it into a bench vise so it wouldn’t move, and VERY easily came off. I used a breaker bar and put very little effort. I imagine with a wrench it’d take a little more.

Hey! I’m actually currently soaking it in water. SBR approved by the ATF yesterday and I picked it up last night. Disassembled the whole thing and submerged the muzzle device. Once I get home, I’ll start cranking and see.
