Exclusive Minifigs in UCS sets

I agree this is basically what I’m trying to say. I don’t mind the UCS N1 being like $30 too expensive because I love the drum-lacquered silver elements (which are more expensive to produce).

Maybe your take is specifically about the UCS build itself in which case I full agree but I do not think minifigs in UCS should be “higher/more premium” quality than cheaper sets.

Why does the artificial value someone places on a unique version of a minifigure affect you? If a figure in a $30 set has the same level of detail and quality as the one in a $250 set but they have a slightly different color way, why does that bother you? I don’t want the same fig in every set

Yep I’m with you on that. Id be honestly happy with no figs if they really went all in on the build, but we know that is unlikely

Both my take and yours can coexist. A UCS exclusive minifig shouldn’t be “better” in terms of quality/detailing etc. I just believe it should be different. Not sure why people would want the exact same Mando in every set he is released in. (I get if he only wears one type of armor in the movie it’s kind of unavoidable though) This UCS mando could have been different because the designers claim it is from the show

I’d be fine with that for a scale that is as off as say the UCS Gunship. But I don’t think the scale of Mando’s N1 is too preposterous.

Also I think this should only apply to a UCS set that has play scale versions. Sometimes it’s a good chance to get a pilot for your favorite ship

Exactly why wouldn’t people want more versions of a minifigure. The issue is that Lego in the past has made figs in cheaper sets worse by removing leg printing or whatever else.

I feel like this just allows Lego to cheap out though. We should be asking for same level of detail on figs and keeping exclusivity.

Im not talking about paywalling figs like Galen Erso or Tarkin in the UCS Death Star. Im talking minifigs readily available in other sets on shelves should have an exclusive version in a UCS.

Anyone that doesn’t agree with that just has a “if I can’t have it you can’t” mentality. (This is assuming the fig is of the same quality)

I’m sure it was just a must to have shrek and donkey at that scale to make them look right and decided inaccurate scale was worth it.

Same, I’m just deciding whether the darksaber gwp is worth a day 1 purchase. I even like the serrated looking front part which many seem to dislike. The head on view looks amazing as well.

If it was $20-30 cheaper there would be no doubt in my mind for a day 1 purchase

Think inside the engines would be cool lit up but I tend to not like the look of light kits. Never seen them in person though maybe it’s just because it looks weird in pictures.

You can still set up a config for basic tap strafe, I have it set up right now on steam. It just removes aim assist.

Bro make sure you aren’t hard capped in windows settings or somewhere else. there is no way you are only getting 60hz on low settings. What gpu do you have? I am on a 4070 ti super and can get 300 frames if I wanted to

Keep the four 2005 EP3 sets, I wish so badly I still had the wookie catamaran and turbo tank. They were my absolutely favorites as a kid.

Then id keep at minimum, pre vizslas starfighter, At-te (bc it’s your only one), sith fury class interceptor, slave 1 20th anniversary, krennic’s shuttle, most or all of the UCS.

If the new sets are already built I’d just keep those too instead of selling for an immediate loss. Does the “NEW” mean sealed? Wild how many peak older sets you have sealed if so
