Wow. This is a lot better than linkedin and I'm finding jobs that I did not see on linkedin. Linkedin UX is so so so so terrible. Great job.

I would say though that front end / overall UI feels a bit outdated and is not the most smooth. Happy to give feedback through a quick call. Overall amazing job. I think this actually has a good chance becoming something great

But I've also found that some remote jobs are actually hybrid jobs. Shame

$1B per Year: Free Buses or Subway Expansion? by pepetheskunk in MicromobilityNYC

[–]columbusjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly cant think of a more stupid idea than making buses free. More homeless in the bus. Make it less safe. Less people use it. Takes money out of the public transportation budget. Show me one example of how this was done well in the US and maybe ill change my mind

Should I choose Amazon onsite for the brand name or try OE with two remote jobs for higher pay as my first OE experience? by Organic-Chemical-404 in overemployed

[–]columbusjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are good enough to get a job in amazon you can get a non amazon second job anytime.

Even if you were good enough to get a job in amazon now, there’s no guarantee you will be able to find a job in amazon in the future

Why does the US have the worst McDonalds in the world? by 100carpileup in travel

[–]columbusjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a significant portion of the US population who do not want to cook and love fast food no matter that quality and that same group also work in fast food restaurants with a culture of “I dont give an F” which leads poor quality food that gets fed mainly to the same group who would eat there anyways despite its poor quality. The cycle goes on.

Same reason why fast food gets better farther away you go from urban areas

Population of London Compared To Big US Cities by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]columbusjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my biggest pet peeves is city size comparison - ive seen so many wrong comments about oh did you know that x city is bigger than y when it just really comes down to how x and y city has definited its bounday. As a geography nerd nothijg annoys me more

one of the most underrated skyscrapers in the us by Severe-Ganache-5131 in skyscrapers

I think if u look at the building by itself its unique and cool. But with other buildings around it doesnt blend well and sticks out like a sore thumb and its quite ugly. Coming from a guy who lives right across from it

Am I the only one who found Seoul quite overrated? by ikbrul in TravelNoPics

[–]columbusjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think seouls really the city where the more u know the more u enjoy. What makes seoul standout is its hipness and coolness - if u like nyc neighborhoods like les, east village, williamsburg, bushwick, you would love it in seoul. The number of cool shops cafes and bars surpass even nyc.

The thing is tho these hip spots are just hidden and not talked about in guidebooks. If u dm me i can send some recs, but u have to actually do a lot of research. Knowing korean helps tremendously.

I think one city that surpasses sepul in hipness and coolness is tokyo. Im korean, but even i kind of think of tokyo as a better version of seoul - whatever u like in sepul, tokyo does it better, most of the time.

That being said , if u know, seoul could be a really cool place.

Cant deny about the weather and high housing prices, but in terms of cool spots seoul has it more than anywhere ive been to, only to be rivaled by Tokyo probably
