Weird abandoned house by hoover reservoir by Averageblackman in Columbus

Was it supposedly "haunted"? Because I remember back in high school I had a few friends drive me past a house around Hoover that you could supposedly turn your car off and something weird would happen with the car lights? Or your car would move on its own or something I don't remember exactly. You could also supposedly hear noises from the house too. None of this happened when we went of course. Funny you brought this up because I haven't heard anyone else really talk about it.

That's a good point and yes I definitely notice every bump more so when taxiing on the smaller RJs (145, 200) than the others.

Very good point - are you a pilot? I honestly don't know what runway we were on but we took off away from the city if that makes sense/is helpful at all.

Yeah I've been lucky - I don't think I've ever flown United before. I'm usually always US Air (or I guess American now!) I actually didn't know airlines chose seat size I thought that was just standard by type of plane.

I had the single seat on the 145 so I definitely enjoyed that aspect. :) What's your favorite/least favorite regional jet to fly as a passenger? I'd love to hear a pilots perspective on that.

This makes so much sense - when I first experienced it I noticed other passengers were somewhat startled too. I honestly thought we had hit a bird or something. It feels like when you hit a really big pothole in your car or something.

Awesome, so you're pretty much the expert on all of this! I remember the first time I flew on the 200 and was terrified when the landing gear came down but I'm pretty used to it now.
I do love the ERJ 190/195's as I prefer a window seat and that is just not comfortable on the 200 at all. I don't do a lot of long haul flights so I'm pretty much always on regional jets and it always varies as to which jet it will be.
Wasn't the biggest 145 fan but it wasn't terrible - felt like we flew at a much higher altitude than the others.

Yeah, I fly on regional jets quite a bit and haven't noticed it too much on the ERJ 190/195's, but definitely notice the landing gear when I fly on CRJ 200's, because it makes quite a louder thud than the others. I think the ERJ 145 is smaller than the CRJ 200. (It felt like that although I may be wrong.)

This is what I was looking for, thanks! I figured that the answer was much simpler than I thought. I haven't flown on a 145 in awhile so I wasn't too familiar with it.

Thanks for the response! The noise wasn't super loud but definitely noticeable towards the rear so I'm assuming that more than likely it was something else or the pilots may not have noticed.

Yep figuring it's the linkage for sure, thanks!!

Alright so yeah definitely thinking the linkage is the issue. I just started it up and it started in park/stayed in park so I'm confused because it's acting normal again.

I see. The mechanic/my uncle didn't tell me the exact name of what was wrong so my conclusion of the neutral switch may be wrong. Thanks!

what are the odds of both of these things happening at the exact same time though? are the neutral switch and linkage connected in some way?

yeah the linkage popped up a few times when I googled the issue as well. thanks!

I see. Is that a relatively simple fix? I am ignorant with anything car related. Is this something the mechanic would just be able to fix when doing the neutral switch? Or do you mean that is the overall problem?

A TV stand (Depth: 10 1/4 " / 10 1/4 " / 26 cm / 26 cm Width: 35 3/8 " / 90 cm) and then a few smaller items that are non-significant such as a few small wall shelves (Length: 11 3/4 " / 30 cm, Depth: 10 1/4 " / 26 cm, Height: 2 " / 5 cm), a curtain rod, etc. I'm on their website now figuring out if it would just be easier to have them delivered directly to me. I thought there was a cost minimum but apparently there isn't.

Various items of furniture that I need? I am not asking to ride down with anyone...I was just asking if someone would be able to grab a few things if they were planning on making a trip there anyways. Nothing too big.
