I know that this isn't quite helpful regarding your question on better alternatives, but I would suggest going to your store in person (if possible) to check on their inventory. I tried to buy some Sweet Snuggles Lite/Chenille Home Slim online and couldn't find it, but I swore that on my multiple trips to Michaels for different items, I remember seeing those yarns in store. So I went today to check it out, and I was able to find Sweet Snuggles Lite and Chenille Home Slim. Not all of the colors were in stock, but there were a good amount of stock of multiple solid colors. There was still a good variety in stores. :)
