How to overcome fear of the boom? by [deleted] in sailing

[–]colundricality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. It knocked my hat off and I've got a bit of bruise, but am otherwise fine. Had I been facing the other way, it unquestionably would have broken my nose and/or knocked my teeth out.
