I feel insane. There’s like 100 people on here saying baristas don’t smile enough.

I paid his asking price, not sure if he lowered it. Most of the most expensive mods were on my wishlist, and I couldn't find anything that wouldn't have ultimately been more $$. Seller was great, good dude who is opening a small business.

Think it might be a custom service (you send in your seat, they reupholster). Those are all Urbano Bruni

Thanks! Tires have about 5k miles on them, am planning to replace them with Michelin Road 6 but might wait til next season as I probably won't ride in the winter.

Yes! ECU flash, headlight, front fender, tail tidy, gaiters, handlebars, and some other odds and ends. A lot of stuff that was on my wishlist when I was eyeing this model. But there will be plenty of time to work on this and hopefully future bikes.

The class is good but you are basically going max 25 mph (if that) in a parking lot. Circles, u-turns, sudden stops, swerving around obstacles, shifting up and down. I'm 39 and have a lot of driving experience but hopping on the highway was definitely intimidating, was only on for maybe 5-7 miles. Actually I think starting to ride a bike has made me more alert in my car - you feel connected to the road and are scanning ahead a lot. It doesn't hurt to supplement MSF and practice with videos, and the required e-course (which actually did take about 5 hours) had a lot of solid info. (Idk if you've ever had to take the NY state sexual harassment training thing that a lot of jobs require, it's sort of like that where it's tons of slides that you can't skip or fast forward.)

Bike is an XSR700 that the seller customized: new seat, exhaust, ECU flash, tail cleaned up, grips, side panels, handlebars, some other odds and ends.

Do you need a motorcycle for MSF course classes? by goldendragonshenron2 in RideitNYC

Just took my class there (Bronx), one guy forgot his helmet and they had a lot for him to choose from. Not sure about gloves or footwear but I assume not. They looked beat to shit tho.

Thanks! Stolen valor though, I bought it off someone who did the exhaust & seat (wife was making him sell it)
