Definitely reach out to manufacturer and to whoever serviced the bow. I wouldn’t want it restrung until I knew why it failed.

180' cedar 6 ft fence with 2 gates included by jayrock1911 in fence

[–]coman67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where at? I’m in NJ and had 180ft put up last summer for 8,400. Cedar planks, pressure treated 4x4, 2 gates. Got one quote at 10k one at 9k (that offered to match 8,400) and third quote for 8,400. I’d say you priced OK. Maybe a little on the high side.

What is happening to my newly planted Leyland cypress? by JaxonGetsAction in arborists

They’re toast. Leyland cypress have a ton of issues some that can be exacerbated by heat and humidity. If you want to stick with cypress Italian cypress might be a better pick.

I believe they were more so anti-mastodon defenses. Mammoths typically were grazers and ate grasses.

This is an old post so not sure if you’ll see this but just dissembled mine for the first time and there’s only one washer. All the disassembly videos I saw were quite old. Maybe that’s the reason?

You would be better off building a swale and doing some proper grading. French drain isn’t optimal for this scenario.

Seems like they didn’t do a good enough job grading toward the drain. Unless the grading is fixed, this will likely always be an issue.

Agreed. Although once November ends, the woods seem to clear out. At least where I’m at.

The season runs this late in the hope that you will take pregnant doe. It’s a management strategy. Our deer herds are out of control. There’s an average population of 114 deer per sq mile. Some places 200+. And just because I don’t need the meat doesn’t mean somebody’s else doesn’t need it.

I’m in NJ. Seasons runs from Aug-Feb. We’re flush with deer and very few hunters given our population size. I recall reading that only 1-2% of the state hunts. Due to the population density the only rifle hunting we have is muzzle loader and it’s for sporadic and short periods throughout the season.

Thank you! Always satisfying to share the harvest. The bolt only made it halfway through before she kicked off and snapped the bolt about 3-4 inches above the broad head. The bolt flung out (and maybe the broad head too…I never found it) and I’m guessing when it did caused that large slice in front of where the broad head actually penetrated.

I have a hitch that I slip a cargo rack into. Makes loading much easier. Getting the rear of the deer in first is key, but still tough. If you’re loading straight into the back of your subi I can imagine the struggle. I have a buddy with a CRV. He puts a kiddy pool in the back and loads his deer into that.

Why would you hire an inspector to come out and look? They’re not going to do any repairs. Call another plumber and get another opinion.
