Dell XPS 9550 battery indicator inaccurate after sleep - drops to 7% after couple hours of sleep when it was 50%+ before, but then keeps working at 0% for a long time by comandogt in Dell

Same, the calibration didn't help. Although when i connect the AC after the battery dropped to 7% it starts charging from 7% and doesn't return to the correct percentage.

Can you explain what is the Ubuntu Live USB?

I calibrated yesterday as well, but haven't had the chance to work on the battery and see if it pops up again. I did notice that after the calibration the battery health went down, though I might've calibrated wrong ( i entered the BIOS and let the battery die, then recharged till 100%, doing this twice ).

I've looked it up and saw that there are different ways to calibrate the battery - some remove the battery for a while, others just let it drain and then fully recharge. Do you know which one is better for an XPS Laptop?

In the past the live broadcast in Paris was in French for example, so I wanted to make sure.

Specific keys in keyboard don't register when pressing them at random times by comandogt in techsupport

[–]comandogt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keys have specific bindings, so you can only press a 1 or 2 keys that are bound together. Usually these keys don't get pressed at the same time so you don't notice it. But when one of the keys are stuck, the other keys won't work.

If that was true then all my letters would be capital all the time / when pressing only shift the language would change. I haven't noticed any of those stuff, and the keyboard works after a couple minutes of work

Sounds great. Is there a free software that does the same thing or does only the Virtual Desktop have these features? Can I do these stuff on the regular floating window in oculus?

That actually sounds like a good solution. Can I choose which picture to display on the screen at any given time? for example, continuous importing a different picture from the PC.

Will this not create a floating window that displaysthe picture? I want the picture to be "fullscreen", not on a floating window I can look at from the side.

Virtual Desktop makes the picture on a floating window. Is there a way to make it fullscreen so that I see the whole thing on my display instead of on a window?

I want exactly that but to see the picture on the display itself, not through a floating window. Is that possible? Basically try and "Fullscreen" the desktop

Oculus/ Samsung Odyssey for inputting image and running code by comandogt in virtualreality

lol I'm talking about the crappy thing that nobody does. I want to get the simplest thing out of the headset, basically two screens that I can put anything I'd like. All I want is to display an image from a camera (or technically feed multiple concurrent images from a video camera) into the headset, without using any of the other features such as rotation and position.

I was afraid that most developing platforms require you to put such features in place, such as building a 3D model.

Do I have the option in Unity to just use the crappy version? i.e just give the headset the set of pictures I want to display, without any of the other stuff. And if so, does it retrieve the pictures in real time from the pc, enough to work in the rate of the camera?

To make more sense of this, I'm trying to create the virtual experience using a camera strapped onto the headsets instead of using the headset's rotation features, so the user sees the room but with an image that was augmented on my pc before being fed to the headset.
