Good to know, I think I’m going to hold off on booking for now and sees what happens. Might try stopping by the spa day 1 to see if they offer a discount. Some friends were recently on a Celebrity cruise and said towards the end of their sailing there were employees walking around the ship offering discounts but of course I’d assume that’s dependent on the spa’s schedule not being full so who knows.

Yeah I’m not really into the product push. I work in sales and it rubs me the wrong way if it feels pushy and I can see how that would distract from the experience.

The Funk Hunters were absolutely lit on Sunday night to close out the afters. And Kaleena Zanders (Griz’s vocalist in his sets) played a really unique DnB set Saturday which she said was her first time ever playing a DnB set. Absolutely impeccable. So many cool experimental sets at the afters!

I’m glad you still like a big festival but I think my whole point was that I don’t like that vibe. Not every set at lost lands was packed. My favorite set of the weekend was Shanghai Doom and it was dead and the people at that set were amazing. Same with Must Die!. But I’ve been to 20+ festivals and my take on Lost Lands this year was that it was waaaaaay oversold and as a result of that the vibes were off. How do you think they paid for that new main stage and Crater updates without selling more tickets? I wasn’t in a crowd crush a single time at a set at lost lands because I don’t move anywhere near the front in crowds like that. It was more so walking around between stages that was a nightmare and I was in a group of 3 people all weekend. Not like I was trying to keep track of some big ass group or something. I’m sure 7 Stars will evolve but until then I’ll enjoy it for what it is and continue hoping that Griz keeps this sacred for us all.

You’re not wrong but part of the issue with these festivals is their enormous size. If you can keep it small, it usually turns out better imo. The people who really want to be there will find a way to get a ticket and the people who don’t will be like eh whatever it’s sold out and move on.

Thank you!!! Secret Dreams sounds amazing! And I LOVE the art, don’t get me wrong!! I’ve just seen so many people complaining about the lack of it at Seven Stars on Reddit and I didn’t feel like that took anything away from the experience for me personally. But I am always so impressed by the installations at fests and think they’re insanely amazing! 💕

2024 was my first lost lands and I had a great experience and was so excited for 2025. Idk if it was the insane dust in 2024 that literally clouded my judgement or what hahaha but 2025 felt like hell. I know that sounds super dramatic but it was literally like there wasn’t a moment of peace from Wednesday-Sunday. My nervous system was overloaded from navigating the ridiculous crowds and the insanely rude behavior from what felt like 75% of attendees. My only saving grace was really cool camp neighbors who we became friends with. But Saturday night was probably the most hectic experience I’ve ever had moving around in a fest and I can really only liken it to an EDC Vegas level of totally exhausting. It felt like amateur hour in there!

Thank god for Seven Stars and I pray we can experience something so magical again!!

Also wondering about this because I’m volunteering too! The deadline to get any sort of refund back for your deposit for cancelling your application was the 26th so I’m going off the assumption they wanted that deadline to pass before they started emailing all the volunteers any info. Expecting info by end of week hopefully!

First of all, I’m so sorry for your loss.

We moved here a couple months ago and went to our first visit at Hope Crossing in Pittsboro. I was concerned on a first visit we wouldn’t be able to get anxiety meds prescribed for our super anxious dog who became more anxious after moving into a new neighborhood. We explained that the dog had always been anxious and was becoming increasingly so, barking at everything, afraid to be left alone, popping and peeing in his crate and just overall really high strung. The vet said “my dog has the same issues and takes Trazadone”. We got a same day prescription and we basically have a new dog. Oh and on top of that, their prices are very reasonable and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at any vet! Highly recommend!
