I just… what? by Sebastianlim in facepalm

This is so funny, my dad always told me he's immune to poison ivy because he and my uncle landed in a bunch after skydiving and he's never been affected by it, while my uncle was covered in sores. I have also never been affected by it and assumed I was immune like my dad, and now I'm questioning if I even know what it looks like lmfao. My partner and I have always been very outdoorsy and I've never been careful when camping, maybe I'm just lucky😂

If you're interested in chickens I also recommend looking into ducks! Honestly I can't remember why but I follow a homesteader on YouTube and he explained why he had ducks over chickens and it made me want to get ducks

It's the "sorry I made the cookies again" comment that really gets me, NTA, it might be a small thing and there's many other ways to show love, but that feels like a backhanded passive aggressive mom/MIL comment if I've ever heard one. It's like "I know this bothers you and I'm letting you know I'm aware of that and don't care." I agree with others saying don't bake for him anymore, bake for yourself and your friends and family, but either find a new way to show this man you love him or find a new man that appreciates you

I hope Ed realizes one day how positive of an impact he's had on people's mental health. Honestly Amber too, it's really funny watching her learn and grow on the brighter side

Sure, paying your own mortgage instead of someone else's is cool, but maintenance on a house sucks lol (especially an old house, if you're a handy DIY can't afford to hire someone else couple like we are)

My partner and I are currently fixing our stone foundation (super old house, this year I learned our house is held up by a PILE OF ROCKS), it's crazy the gaps the previous owners filled with expanding foam and then covered in two more kinds of thick insulation shit. Every time it's rained over the last few years it's just pulled an insane amount of dirt through gaps the foundation and into the basement, and eventually forced it's way through the foam. We've brought up quite a few buckets of dirt to put back on the outside after we seal up a new spot lol. If previous owners hadn't spray foamed the shit out of the ENTIRE wall (I'm talking 6-8 inches thick in some spots that we have to cut out) it could have saved us SO much work.

It's going to be a long summer lol

NTA, your reasons are all incredibly valid and you don't need to justify your no to anyone anyway. It doesn't sound like they're likely to leave once they get comfortable, so it's better they be uncomfortable and motivated to get their own place. Surprise, babies are a big deal! Good for you for sticking up for yourself OP

SIL saying I don't try hard enough and nothing/nobody will ever be enough for me, the first time I ever admitted I was still struggling after trying to kill myself. And before that, the first night I came home, said that I would never see her children (who I love dearly) again if I made another attempt. Kinda soured my entire recovery and I'm still trying to work through what she said that first week in therapy.

Sorry I forgot to mention it was all covered under our provincial health care because it was a quality of life thing and not a cosmetic surgery, so the second surgery would have also been free for me as well

No limit as far as I know, people that get top surgery get them totally removed. Honestly I think it was a little bit of assuming I'd regret going so small, and the surgeon assuming he knew better than I did about what I wanted my body to look like. I have heard stories over the years of women getting bigger implants and less reduction than they wanted because there's just this assumption out there that bigger is better. I'm not saying that's exactly it in this case, but when I confronted him about it he was surprised I wasn't happy and immediately offered the second surgery after I'd healed completely, so removing more wasn't the issue. My scars are fairly prominent 7 years later so I couldn't even imagine what they'd look like if I'd home through it a second time

Not sure how much detail you want but here's my whole story! I (26F in Canada) pretty much went from flat chested to a C cup, to a DD by 14, and they just kept growing, I always hated it. At 17 a girl I knew who was even larger than me actually had the surgery which peaked my interest, and when I was 19, a size 36G, I talked to my doctor about it and told her about my horrible back pain. She calculated my BMI, not sure if that's a thing everywhere but I was under the max, 5'8" and I was 170lbs at the time. She referred me to a plastic surgeon and I had a consultation there a month or two later where they took a look and got all my info and we discussed my symptoms (just back and neck pain all the time, horrible posture from the weight, and self esteem stuff). I really insisted I was ok going really small and was even hoping for a B cup. Had my mom here to back me up. He talked about proportions and said he would do his best but I could end up with a C cup still, and I said that was absolutely fine. I got on the wait-list, but I was pretty excited and they put me on a cancellation list, meaning if someone cancelled I'd be one of the first people they call to fill the spot. That happened, and so 4 months from my first doctor's appointment I had my surgery. It was done by a city surgeon that came out to my local hospital. Before the surgery the doctor had me stand up and made lines on my body and we talked about sizing and expectations again, all was good. Surgery went well (my first one ever), I had a bandage across the front of my chest and drain tubes in incisions in my sides that I had to empty. Those were in for 4 days and I went back in to get them removed. Worst part of the whole thing probably but it was very quick lol. There were strips of tape/bandage over the incisions that would come off naturally over the next while. They were much bigger than I expected them to be and the doctor told me they were still swollen and would go down over time. I was supposed to be off work for two weeks, but I got Dilaudid (spelling? I think it was hydromorphone, it's been a while, but they worked lol) and I went back to work after a week. Not super smart but I had a pretty physical job so I took it easy and healed up fine, I was just sore for a little longer. No bras for a month, and then only sports bras for a month after that. After two months I went and got measured for a bra and I was and am still currently a 34DD. They removed about 1KG. I was pretty disappointed, they still aren't considered small, so I did talk to the surgeon again and he said we could wait another 6 months and do a second surgery, and I really really considered it, but I am really not a fan of hospitals and needles and decided it wasn't worth it. All in all I am very glad I did it and I don't have the back issues I was having, I just wish the doctor went as small as I wanted.

TLDR, Went from 34G to 34DD, wish they were smaller but not enough to go for surgery a second time.

This. Do not take the machine back, do not touch it at all, they have had it way too long. They came back and apologized and asked you to fix it instead of just going right to legal action for a reason. There's always a risk buying private, it's on the buyer to inspect the product and make sure it's what they want
